Succeeded in reprogramming a replacement laptop battery that didn't work in its intended system (config was incorrectly programmed), so after I fixed the ID error, I also gave it an honest signature. BQ4050 controller in the clone. Claude and a Raspberry Pi in an afternoon.

Tesla software 2026.38.5.1 finally broke V2L. If you were anything like me and wait a while before installing an update, this is your red alert. Unfortunately it caught me yesterday. So much for V2L.

@Adom_Industries To that, one thing that seemed to be missing from Claude's perspective is an "onboarding guide" for itself. It sees a mountain of tools; guesses at/how to use them (stumbles a lot). A "start here" skill w/ rundown of tools and whatnot, maybe. Not sure if sys prompt is customized.

@Adom_Industries Very cool! I had Claude do a whole research session to gather an understanding of tools and behaviors. I got pretty far in the initial research and BOM selection. BOM management could be a skill (is it?) as it's mostly just bloating up a large context page at the moment. :)

@Adom_Industries It's definitely been a bumpy start, with Claude knocking into the walls a bit and not fully knowing its way around. I sent it on an exploratory mission to dive through the Wiki and understand skills/apps/tools better, and it came back a little more grounded, but still struggling.

@Adom_Industries First time setup could use some work. Dropped me in an infinite loop at the "link your agents" phase (linked Claude Code successfully, but Welcome never "checked it off"). Ended up landing at this blank view. Hate working with VS Code (hardware isn't code!), no idea what to do.
