And the only real one is not having a choice. Like living in the country and having to figure it out.

It’s easier to learn with an ai coach than a chatbot but no one does it because they don’t need to.

@TomABacon I think they see that traditional web search is getting replaced by AI chabots.

So rather than becoming slowly irrelevant they choose to bite the bullet now and push their own chatbot.

That way they can still leverage their brand and their real estate to try to win the cake.

- Political ads are banned.
- Campaign donations are capped to 4.6k per person.
- Total campaign spending is capped (16.8m for first round and 22.5m for second).
- Lobbying must be disclosed and financial contributions are prohibited.

@gokulr I feel like we have a different definition of product design. Making mockups is like 30% of the job.

The most important part is identifying problems and figuring out creative solutions. The PM and PrD scopes have always overlapped.

Plus, the bar is higher than ever for UI.

@gabe__perez Tbh same with GPT models. But I'm not sure I have the skills / I don't use those models... I'd love to collab with someone technical on this.

I think i'd be super cool if it also worked with Claude Desktop app & IDEs (like VS code & co).

I use Claude Code every day but I keep getting distracted by other stuff.

Come back 20 minutes later and it's been waiting for a permission or finished ages ago.

So I vibe coded a little pager that floats on my desktop that tells me when Claude needs me and lets me answer...

The whole thing is vibe coded with Claude Code.

First open source project, probably imperfect in every way, but I use it a lot and wanted to share it.

Technical bits if you're curious:

- Pure Swift + SwiftUI, zero external dependencies
- IPC via local HTTP server (NWListener) receiving hook events from Claude Code
- On-device STT (WhisperKit + Apple Speech) and TTS (Kokoro + Apple)
- Everything runs locally

@lydiahallie I've just realised that whenever I use extended thinking, even once or twice (in claude, not claude code). It torpedoes my usage. Might be worth a look
