@Unassociat19772 Why is everyone skipping over the part where his discomfort is due to the fact that it's his friend whom he didn't previously notice in such a way?
There is nothing to stop, either he makes his move or suffer in silence.
@barrcode01@polidemitolog Recimo kao: "No matter how little you pay me, I can always work less."
Slična jedna sovjteska: "We pretend to work, and they pretend to pay"
@Chels1an@KiddSpade1 That's a fair point, same way I avoid walking/cycling down some routes here, just a straight, boring path along a road, although it's wide and with a bicycle lane.
One of my least favorite parts in Zagreb:
@l44680@Bl00d3clypse@ICameBack5 TFR of immigrant women is higher than that of native-born French women (2.6 children versus 1.8 in 2017), but as only a minority of women are concerned, their births increase the French fertility rate by just 0.1 children, from 1.8 to 1.9 children per woman in 2017
@svgmzr@TaglesTopGuy They have tariffs on meat, dairy and some produce afaik, to protect their own farmers. They only have 3% of arable land and they want to be as self-sufficient as possible.
Even with the high prices of food, Norwegians food spending is in line with rest of North/West Europe.
@e1r1k11@Nomutantsallow@Thomashornall@martye15 Yeah, from what I've seen, total % of spending on food in Norway is still about 9-10%, inline with other Nordics.
I spoke with some Croats that were living/working in Norway, they all complained about the cost of food
Barely matters if you're earning so much more anyway.
@e1r1k11@Thomashornall@martye15 Is it really worth it, how much does it really provide?
Also, it's really funny how you manage to use the 3% and protect it, and here we have a lot of underutilized and very fertile arable land.
@N1ppyTSG@Thomashornall People are really dumb about this, "processed" became a scary word.
Yes, potato chips, sweets, chicken nuggets etc. are ultraprocessed and unhealthy.
Smoked/dried meat & fish, pickled/canned vegetables, dried goods are processed, yet still good (not perfect, nothing is perfect)
@theistinthought@LouisvonIndigo@cljack Why wouldn't you?
Anyway, do remember that there's also plenty of people living in single family houses, on the outskirts of cities, might call it suburban.
A lot of them can still walk down to the nearest store to get stuff (mixed zoning) and all of them have a car.
