hi! i’m ved. i’m a 20yo ucla math student and i want to work on the world’s hardest problems as a self-taught applied ml researcher :)
my whole life i’ve wanted to be in startups. a founding engineer. a cto. the whole sf arc.
but software is now solved.
i dropped out of school to work at a yc startup, then came back within 4 months. the talent pool is diluting and the thrill has been abstracted away by ai.
so now i want to work on the stuff that’s going to matter absurdly much in the next 5 years. rl sims. computer use. mech interp.
i want to bootstrap myself to the frontier and have outsized impact on the world.
why not me?
this is where i’ll document the journey. purely for the love of the game. ups and downs, i promise.
i’m not at the frontier yet. that’s the whole point. i’m going to get there in public. follow me to watch me do it
Man I love the poke by @interaction interface and experience, but I have yet to identify a truly useful use case
Would be great if anyone could give me ideas
