Of the casualties, most are civilians that were deliberately targeted, including children and forced laborers who were victims of colonialism. Collective punishment is not the same as payback.

It's a shame that we consume creative work so eagerly yet value its makers so little. The arts are a bigger part of the economy than most people assume, but we judge them almost entirely by that measure. A society that wants the circus should be willing to pay the performers.

@Tom_Heal @doedecayy @acheronix @LexerLux Because it was done purposefully. It’s meant to draw attention to the excessive detail, the hair, the blemishes, the veins in the eyes to provoke disgust. What gives it away is that the detail serves no purpose, it just embellishes without conveying anything.
