बहुत जरूरी बातें.....दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष एन.हरिहरन ने जंतर-मंतर पर प्रदर्शन के दौरान छात्रों के साथ हुई हिंसा पर कोर्ट के सामने रखी हैं.

-प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ बल प्रयोग से पहले पर्याप्त चेतावनी देना पुलिस की कानूनी जिम्मेदारी है.

-अब तक ऐसा एक भी मामला सामने नहीं आया है, जिसमें पुलिस यह दिखा सके कि उसने प्रदर्शनकारियों को साफ तौर पर कोई चेतावनी दी थी कि वे वहां से हट जाएं, नहीं तो उनके खिलाफ बल प्रयोग किया जाएगा.

-पुलिस ने न तो कोई सार्वजनिक घोषणा की गई, न ही सायरन या व्हिसल बजाई कि अब लाठीचार्ज होने वाला है.

-यहां तक कि अंग्रेजों के जमाने में भी जब धारा 144 लागू लगती थी तो भी इन बेसिक चीजों का पालन किया जाता था.

-केवल यह कहकर कि पुलिस को ड्यूटी निभाने में कठिनाई हो रही थी तो वह छात्रों पर बदले की कार्रवाई नहीं कर सकती. जंतर-मंतर पर ऐसा ही दिखाई दिया है.

- छात्रों के पास किसी प्रकार के हथियार नहीं थे. ऐसे में उनके खिलाफ इस तरह से लाठीचार्ज ठीक नहीं है.
