Bro, I think you’re mistaken.

Not every workplace is the same. A workplace is not just about deadlines, tasks, and results. It’s also about basic empathy and treating people like human beings.

For example, when I was involved in a very bad accident, the first concern was whether my car was okay. Bruh, seriously? Not even a simple “Are you okay?” or “Are you safe?” Nothing about whether I was alive, injured, or needed help.

That moment really showed me the difference between a workplace that only sees you as a worker and a workplace that values you as a person.

There are definitely workplaces with good leaders, empathy, kindness, and a healthy environment. Work pressure is part of any job, but a workplace can be tough, and it should never make you feel like your emotions and well-being don’t matter.

My Amma knew before I did.

From the very first day I stepped into that office, she told me, “Get out of there. This place doesn’t feel right for you.” She kept reminding me that something felt off, but I didn’t listen.

I wanted to believe things would get better. I wanted to give it a fair chance. I thought maybe with time, everything would fall into place.

But eventually, I received a termination letter.

At that moment, it felt like a painful ending. I questioned why it happened and wondered what went wrong. But looking back now, I realise it wasn’t a failure. Maybe it was God’s way of removing me from a place that was never meant for me.

Sometimes, we hold on to things because we’re afraid to let go. But God has a way of closing doors that we don’t have the courage to close ourselves.

Life has a beautiful way of redirecting us towards something better. Keep being kind, keep doing good, and stay true to yourself. The right opportunities will come when the time is right.

And the biggest lesson I’ve learned?

Never underestimate a mother’s instincts. 🧿

Because sometimes, Amma sees the storm before we even feel the rain.

@ainulaizat Betul. Walaupun saya dari MUDA & bukan DAP, saya pernah bekerja rapat dengan mereka. Sebab itu saya rasa penting utk berkongsi pengalaman sebenar, lebih-lebih lagi apabila ia melibatkan kepimpinan dan pilihan raya.

Saya hanya berkongsi pengalaman peribadi utk penilaian rakyat.

If political parties genuinely want youth participation, they need to stop asking why young people leave and start asking why so many of us walk away feeling unheard, disrespected, and burnt out.

Young people deserve role models in politics who treat others with respect.
