@afneil Pointless, Andy is just knocking out the IRGC talking points. You know its bollards as there is no mention of all steps are conditional ! Hence they do not abide by first step then its bombs away. Not one Ship/ Aircraft has left the theater.
Boss of children's services at council which missed a string of chances to save murdered baby Preston Davey received a £23,000 golden goodbye after ending time there 'on such a high.
The more that emerges about the horrific murder of 13-month-old Preston Davey, the more disturbing the questions become.
It has now emerged that Gerard Jones, the head of children’s services responsible for overseeing Preston’s fostering arrangements, received a £23,000 golden goodbye when he left Oldham Council in October 2024. What a bloody disgrace and how does he sleep at night knowing he was in charge while this travesty happened, and how the fuck does he have the guile to take a bloody bonus.
Yet investigators have identified at least eight separate opportunities where intervention could have saved Preston’s life.
Serious questions are now being asked of both Oldham Council and Blackpool Victoria Hospital. Preston was admitted to hospital three times, including once with a broken elbow, but the warning signs appear to have been repeatedly missed.
Gerard Jones, 68, ended his five-year tenure as Oldham Council’s managing director of children’s services saying he felt “blessed to end my time in Oldham on such a high.”
Just 15 months earlier, on July 27, 2023, Preston had been sexually abused and murdered by Jamie Varley, 37, a secondary school head of year. A court heard the little boy endured a litany of psychological and sexual abuse before his death.
Varley’s partner, sales executive John McGowan-Fazakerley, 32, was found to have turned a blind eye to the abuse and even participated in one incident himself.
Oldham Council had responsibility for Preston’s care because his mother, Sarah Davey, 42, is from the town. Varley and McGowan-Fazakerley were approved as prospective adoptive parents through Adoption Now, an agency jointly owned by councils across the North West, after undergoing two years of preparation and assessment.
Preston was placed with them at the end of March 2023.
A beautiful little boy lost his life. The public deserve answers about how so many warning signs were missed, why multiple opportunities to intervene failed, and whether lessons have truly been learned to prevent another tragedy like this from ever happening again.
A few weeks ago, I posted a copy of a letter from Ann Cryer MP for Keighley, to David Blunkett Home Secretary, concerning a Pakistani Grooming Gang that was operating in her area.
Blunkett did nothing, neither did Labour or the police.
Ann was vilified as a racist.

Some Rotherham councillors knew in 1999. By 2011 his crimes were openly discussed in Labour Party meetings I attended. We were always told to keep quiet
22 YEARS LATER AND NOBODY HAS ANSWERED FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO DR DAVID KELLY
His name was Dr David Kelly. Most people have forgotten him. They shouldn't.
He was a quiet, mild-mannered scientist who spent his career inspecting weapons facilities around the world.
He knew more about Iraq's arsenal than almost anyone alive.
In 2003, Tony Blair's @InstituteGC government published a dossier claiming Saddam Hussein could deploy chemical weapons within 45 minutes. That claim was used to justify a war.
Kelly knew the intelligence behind it was being exaggerated. He said so, privately, to a @BBCNews journalist.
That one conversation destroyed his life.
The government found out he was the source. Instead of protecting a man who had served his country for decades, they quietly let his name reach the press. He was publicly identified, dragged before two parliamentary committees, and grilled by his own employer.
His wife said he came home a broken man.
On the afternoon of 17 July 2003, he left his house for a walk in the Oxfordshire countryside. He was 59 years old. He never came back.
His body was found the next morning in woodland. A knife beside him. A blister pack of painkillers nearby.
Here is where it gets worse.
Tony Blair personally intervened to replace the normal coroner's inquest with a private inquiry run by Lord Hutton.
The original inquest was suspended before it even properly began. It was never resumed. To this day,
Dr David Kelly is the only person in England and Wales in living memory to have died in unexplained circumstances without receiving a full coroner's inquest.
Lord Hutton concluded suicide. Case closed.
Except eight senior doctors and a former coroner wrote to @thetimes saying the verdict was medically unsafe.
The wound found on Kelly's wrist, a severed ulnar artery, would not cause fatal blood loss in a healthy person.
There were no fingerprints on the knife. The painkillers found were not in a quantity that experts considered lethal.
The government's response, delivered by Attorney General Dominic Grieve in 2011, was essentially: the Hutton Inquiry was good enough, stop asking questions.
Think about that. A man quietly raised concerns about the biggest political deception in modern British history, a war that led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. He was publicly exposed, professionally destroyed, and found dead days later and the government personally made sure there would never be a proper independent investigation into how he died.
Tony Blair went on to become a Middle East Peace Envoy. He has a knighthood.
Dr David Kelly got a private inquiry, a rushed verdict, and a sealed post-mortem report that was not released to the public for years.
Nobody was ever held accountable. Not for any of it.
This story should be on the front page every single year. Share it if you think it matters.

71 of the 532 Crown Court courtrooms in England and Wales are sitting empty today. That’s 13% of them.
At the same time, David Lammy is trying to pin the blame on our ancient right to trial by jury. He claims the only way to reduce the court backlog is to curtail that right.
It is one of the most authoritarian moves this government has made to date — and that is saying something.
There is no credible evidence to support the Justice Secretary’s misguided claims. Judges, lawyers, MPs and victims of crime have all warned of the dangerous consequences.
Open the courts. Save jury trials.
Remembering The Thousands of Lives Lost On This Day, 17th June 1940: The Sinking of RMS Lancastria (HMT Lancastria) This remains the worst single-ship loss of life in British maritime history and the bloodiest single engagement for UK forces in the entire Second World War.
During Operation Aerial, the evacuation of British troops, support personnel, and civilians from western France following the fall of Dunkirk, the requisitioned Cunard ocean liner Lancastria was sunk by German bombers off Saint-Nazaire, France, on the 17th June 1940, she was anchored in the Charpentier Roads, about 5 nautical miles southwest of Saint-Nazaire in the Loire estuary.
Originally built in 1920 as Tyrrhenia and renamed Lancastria in 1924, the 16,243 GRT liner normally carried around 1,300–2,200 passengers plus crew. Requisitioned as a troopship (HMT Lancastria), she had a normal troop capacity of roughly 2,180–3,000 but was ordered to take “as many as possible.”
At around 15:50–16:00, Junkers Ju 88 bombers from Kampfgeschwader 30 struck. Three or four bombs hit (one reportedly near/down the funnel or into holds), rupturing oil tanks and causing rapid listing. The ship capsized and sank in about 20 minutes.
Survivors are consistently reported as between 2,477 and 2,488. No exact figure of deaths is possible due to the chaotic overloading and no precise headcount. Widely accepted estimates range from 3,500 (minimum) to 4,000–7,000 (most common modern range); many bodies were never recovered or identified, and civilians were among the dead.
The Lancastria Association identifies 1,738 named dead; Commonwealth War Graves Commission records align with high thousands.
It was Britain’s greatest maritime disaster.
The event was initially suppressed by Churchill via D-Notice to avoid further damaging morale amid the fall of France. News emerged weeks later.
The Lancastria tragedy is often called a “forgotten” disaster despite its scale. Memorials exist in Saint-Nazaire and elsewhere, and survivor associations continue to honour the victims. Many families only learned years later of the true circumstances.
We remember the thousands who perished and the resilience of those who survived amid chaos and oil-covered waters.
We Will Remember Them. Lest We Forget 🙏
Terrible news about @JeremyClarkson!! The only “good news” is it’s very treatable if caught early . my fiancé was diagnosed months after I met him at 56 years old. I know of 4 people in my tiny village (not including him) who have it/had it.
Why is it so common right now ???
Leilani, its because the GPs and the medical establishment have for decades pushed back against the mountain of evidence that all men over 45 should have a yearly PSA with annual bloods. The fractional cost if done with the annual bloods is miniscule ie equivalent to the net zero & DEI department budgets in London Hospitals!
🚨 JUST IN: JD Vance OBLITERATES Jessica Tarlov claiming President Trump is giving stuff away to Iran
"Jessica, you're making the SAME MISTAKE, unfortunately, that a lot of the Iranian propagandists make."
"They talk about the benefits to the Iranians without ANY of the things Iran has to give up."
"You mentioned $300B...not a single cent of American money under any circumstance, no matter what the Iranians do, goes to Iran, not a single cent of American money!"
"This says, for example, let's say that the United Arab Emirates, who have been a great ally, let's say they want to invest in a power plant in Iran, what this deal provides is that if the Iranians have done everything we require them to do, then we will allow the United Arab Emirates to do that."
"Because they can't do that right now without American approval. So we're fundamentally saying if the Iranians transform how they interact with the world, we will transform how the world economy interacts with Iran!"
"But if they don't do any of that stuff, they don't get any of these benefits. So I think all the Democrats who are saying, well, the Iranians get all these things, they don't get anything unless there's been a complete transformation of how Iran interacts with the world, that would be a huge win for America!"
"If they don't do any of these things, we don't give them anything. They don't receive anything. Their nuclear program is still destroyed. Their military is still destroyed. Their missile program and industrial base is still destroyed. We fundamentally have transformed the Middle East. Whether they comply or not, this is just icing on the cake, assuming they do all the right things."
I’m very sorry to hear that @JeremyClarkson was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer last year. I do hope he is now well & made a swift & full recovery. I wish him & his loved ones every strength.
I greatly admire him for speaking publicly about his diagnosis. That openness will encourage many men to seek help earlier & ultimately save lives.
I was diagnosed myself & underwent treatment in 2019. Early screening for men at higher risk from the age of 45 could save an estimated 6,000 lives each year. Yet one man still dies from prostate cancer every hour.
The case for action on men’s health is overwhelming. We need a national screening programme & a dedicated Minister for Men. The facts speak for themselves a & they demand leadership.
• 84 men take their own lives every week
• 75% of all suicides are male
• One in four men lives with a mental illness
• One man dies from prostate cancer every hour.
There’s a strong case for a Minister for Men to address male-specific issues like mental health, suicide, cancers, & equality in family courts. Such an advocate would complement - not compete with - efforts for women’s rights, ensuring the best outcomes for all.

🚨WOW: Sadiq Khan personally READ reports on young girls gang-raped in London hotels by Muslims plied with drugs, threatened & abused.
YET on multiple occasions, he publicly denied grooming gangs exist in the capital.
This denial has enabled abuse.
Accountability is overdue.
NOW, more then EVER it is vital we let the Government know that what we really support Palliative Care NOT Killing the most vulnerable in society.. so far only 6,818 signatures... let's double that by next Sunday!
