@linemonkeymd After sixteen years wandering in the desert of private group radiology practice, the Lord delivered me into a new path. The past fifteen years have been the most fulfilling and fruitful of my career — I would never go back.
October is Emily Adkins Blood Clot Awareness Month, and we’re committed to educating, advocating, and saving lives. Take a moment to talk with your doctor about preventing blood clots today. ❤️
@DutchRojas@linemonkeymd Indeed it is - a political battle that most of my ignorant colleagues think is logical and fact based. Most doctors and the public are divorced from the political world - money & power. Doctors have neither. Political solutions are a heavier lift than most realize.
Our new brochure is a must-have resource for assisted living residents, family, and staff – it’s a free and simple tool to help educate about blood clot risks and prevention.

Healthy Aging Month reminder: with age, clot risk rises, and bleeding risk can too (especially for people on blood thinners). In our August PEP Talk, Dr. Anna Parks discusses the challenges of balancing both. Watch: https://t.co/500I3XMLnd

@independentMDs@linemonkeymd@olsonplanner@DutchRojas Exactly! Health Performance Specialists was stood up 8 years ago: a multi-tax ID subscription based MSO model now the largest network of vein practices in the USA. Today we are consolidating into a single tax ID mega group that preserves practice independence and value creation.
@DrLipman1@roblookstein@SIRspecialists Charles Dotter warned in the ’60s: neglect clinical care, and IR will die. Yet IR still lives in the shadow of DR. My DR chair, a former CV surgeon, once said: “We’re prostitutes—we do whatever referrers want.” IR must break free or remain a procedural servant forever.
@DrLipman1@roblookstein@SIRspecialists The best decision I ever made, and it's not without its challenges, however, there are worse challenges being an employed physician, was to leave group practice after 16 years. I've now been on my own for 16 years and It was the best decision my partners ever helped me make. Lol!
@DrLipman1@roblookstein@SIRspecialists Amen, John! Barry was a pioneer, as you are. Interviewed with Barry for fellowship in 1989. Did my fellowship at UC - San Diego where we had one of the first IR clinics in the country. We routinely rounded on patients every single day. We were "real doctors"!
