@JosephJacks_ All these orgs (OpenAI, DM, Anthropic) have policy arms, and people in these arms explicitly want to limit open source AI; they are generating the appearance of expert consensus on this matter.

Are you aware of any efforts to make an org/nonprofit pushing against this?

Kanhenda. Eg veit ikkje korleis han såg ut utover dei gamle bileta :)

[Odin Hørthe-Omdal Urdland (Røyst MDG!) @Velmont]

@jasonbosco @typesense That's so cool. How does this compare to the other vector search engines like ie qdrant? Is it missing anything or just as good? :)

[Stella Biderman @BlancheMinerva]

@ylecun "Meta is committed to open research and releases all the models the research community under a GPL v3 license."

... this isn't true. The model is under a non-commercial license.

[Odin Hørthe-Omdal Urdland (Røyst MDG!) @Velmont]

@abrenna Interessant.

@Velmont]

@ikkjebergensar Det var berre kjekt!

Berre enn norsk jury IMO.

@Velmont]

@supercamilla Ah! Det gjev meining.

[Camilla Holm Soelseth @supercamilla]

@EEstenstad Trist lesnad. Men får sjå kva resultatet vert. Vonleg vert det Elsie Bay, men Alessandra får vera trøystepremie.

Berre ikkje la oss senda enno ein snork song til finalen. Me gjer det heile tida og det er so opplagt feil. 🤷

[Odin Hørthe-Omdal Urdland (Røyst MDG!) @Velmont]

Okay MGP.

Controversial opinion: some of the new plant-based cheeses coming on the market taste better than the dairy cheese products they're competing with.

@renaudl_ @tantaman cr-sqlite from https://t.co/UDVib4jiba it seems. :)

@ximajs @KriseKarro Aiai.

Veit du korleis du kjem inn for å tinga billettar?

[Odin Hørthe-Omdal Urdland (Røyst MDG!) @Velmont]

@Oysteib Lag ein instans for norsk politikk? Må vera enklaste løysinga. Kanhenda.

@Velmont]

@odinthenerd lol :D

Getting crowded.

I wrote from the wrong account, this is my Norwegian account. My English tech account is @odinho.

[Odin Hørthe-Omdal Urdland (Røyst MDG!) @Velmont]

@perbu Much agree I think.

Though Cloudflare's workerd is now open source, and I'm interested even if I haven't actually tried it yet. It at least sounds great; using standardized JS, allowing you to run runtime fully locally and self-host.

I just need self-host option, can use cloud.
