It is very sad that this type of good road discussions are required now between a Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

Hoping to have a better roads.

2 days back I have travelled to Udupi and returned to Bangalore.

1. Blr - Hassan - Belur - around Sringeri - Agumbe - Udupi

After Belur roads are not good.
If you rely on google map, dont take this route, bcaz it suggests some shortest road which worst of all.

Hassan to Bangalore:
Excellent roads like other toll roads.
But around 7 flyover construction is going on in this toll roads parallely. At every construction you have to take service roads and all thise are filled with SPEED BRAKES.

Udupi - Mudbidri - Belthangady - Charmady ghat - around Mudigere - Belur - Hassan - Blr

Belthangady is a small town filled with POTHOLES. I got stuck there for 30 to 45 mins in slow traffic just because of potholes.
You can see the slow moving traffic in google as well.

Agumbe is ghatt section not suits for elders/ kids
All the roads from Belur to Agumbe is short of small roads, not suggested.

Today, in Mangammanapalya road (near canara bank ATM) at 7 45am, a car parked on road caused a big choke in that narrow road. People should have common sense before they park...
