I’m so tired of how many experiences of my life are now taken over by phones and content so for my birthday party this year I told my friends to leave their phones at home and had a sketch artist capture the night instead

Haider Ackermann as the creative director of Tom Ford is one of the best decisions he's made in his career. Finally someone is doing cinematic runway. We haven't been fed like this since Galliano's lasts show for Maison Margiela.
I love AV and his style isn’t as gimmicky as Demna or Allessandro so its hard to get super fatigued by it but it is verrry repetitive season after season. It’s most of the same every time
According to a source in my discord - Pieter Mulier to Versace, Maximilian Davis to Alaia, Sabato De Sarno to Ferragamo - let’s see if it pans out this way.
> scouted by Matthieu Blazy in a nyc subway station
> middle class hyderabadi who had never heard of Bottega Veneta
> built a relationship with Matthieu and followed him to Chanel
> chosen to open the Metier d’Art show
> in the same subway system she got scouted!
It’s a really heartwarming story (see her latest Instagram where she posts her parents reaction to her live-streamed walk). And she’s a 25 year old product designer who had a hard time on the job market. The modeling community has rallied around her and everyone wants to see her win and flourish.
Also a brilliant business move by Chanel. The Indian market is not friendly to French multinationals (prefers Indian centric brands). Many rich Indians have never heard of Chanel. But they’ve recently opened stores in major cities and with marketing like this, they are on the path to going mainstream there!
