@TheAlphaOmegaP1@EineLotta yes.. reread what i said. the us has no regulations, germany does. if the US had it since medicines market start whatever, then those prices would have never been seen exploitable. its the free markets problem.
@JamesTheMuttz Finally someone.. i tried to spill my beans about the price and all but I had the wrong explanations. i agree with you on all fronts. The cube is also a new optimization goal for developers and a stepping stone into a linux based os.
@mooreslawisdead 1. AI-Image, you're contributing to the reason that made it expensive.
2. The gabecube is a 6" cube, on the image it's larger by 1-2"
3. Fuck YOU and AI
4. Outdated GabeN physique.
@StairstoH@Met47ron@Play4Index however theres shipping of multiple parts at once, assembly and tweaking of OS for a custom pc. Additionally if you go the second hand route, there's a risk of the pc being damaged during shipping or other issues where you won't have valve's reassurance for safe delivery.
@StairstoH@Met47ron@Play4Index if you really put all the specs 1 to 1 and ignore the assembly cost of the cube then a pc does cost less. and at the same price you can get a more powerful pc, because unlike the small gabecube, the pc doesnt need to limit its powerconsumption for thermal constriction reasons.
@Met47ron@Play4Index I see.. well as you know the prices have risen substantially and yeah that is definitely one way to do it. I approve of that approach. Especially with the waiting lists for the gabecube it makes this approach more viable.
