Even after all the DB tuning and query optimizations… app is still slow?
It’s time to consider caching
I wrote a practical guide on the must-know caching secrets.
If you work on read-heavy services, this is for you.

Better way to think:
Parameters = seasoning in a recipe.
Add too much → nonsense.
Too little → boring.
Just right → it feels smart.
So when someone says “1.8T parameters”…
They’re saying:
My AI has a LOT of seasoning and can taste nuance.
“1.8 TRILLION PARAMETERS!!!”
Cool flex — but what is that?
Basically: a ridiculous number of tiny math knobs the AI tweaks so it sounds wise… not unhinged.
#LLM#GenAI#ChatGPT
Imagine a DJ mixer with a trillion sliders.
Each slider controls something tiny:
•Word meaning
•Context
•Logic
•Tone
Stack these mixers into 100+ layers → tweak 1 knob → the whole output shifts.
That’s a neural network: a layered soundboard for intelligence.
I made a picture book that teaches Kafka visually — no jargon, no long chapters. (some snaps of same)
Just clear mental models and illustrations.
Perfect for students & new engineers.
Drop “Kafka” and I’ll send the link.
“Make AI Really Understand Your Data: The Simple Guide to RAG, Embeddings, and Vectors You Didn’t Know You Needed”
Just published an article to demystify RAG
Let me know your feedback, and tell me your reaction when you hear the word RAG

Whether you’re just getting started with Kafka Streams or you’ve already explored it and now want to build dashboards or a queryable state layer, this post is for you.

Distributed systems are tricky.
They can fail in a million different ways… and the worst is when the leader dies 😵
So how do systems not completely fall apart?
👇
I just published an Article on it https://t.co/rvD9IF5Ns2
In my new article, I break down:
✔ Why systems need a leader at all
✔ Why leader failure is messy
✔ How leader election actually works
✔ Real-world mistakes teams make
@jacobm Agree — ignoring tech fundamentals + skill-building hurts most students.
Confusion comes from not understanding roles, market cycles, or how skills fit together.
I break into hot tech - Kafka down visually in my book.

@kanavtwt Agree — but ignoring fundamentals of like like Kafka + skill-building hurts most students.
