In just the first few days as Maharashtra FDA Commissioner, IAS Tukaram Mundhe has shown what decisive administration looks like:
• 53 raids across Maharashtra
• 34 illegal gutkha/pan masala locations busted
• 33 arrests made
• 27 establishments sealed
• 25 FIRs registered
• 5 vehicles seized
• ₹20.57 lakh worth of banned tobacco products seized
• ₹28.7 lakh worth of adulterated food seized
Now some food vendors are planning a strike to put pressure on the government.
Their demand seems to be “Let us sell unsafe and adulterated food, and don’t take action against us.”
Salute this sigma auto driver. An english ki aulaad unkill tried to impose colonial concepts like "hygiene" and "not spitting where people walk" on him. He correctly identified this as western brainwashing and defended his fundamental right to gargle on public roads by fracturing the unkill's leg. Total decolonization victory.
This one, answers many questions raised on Mumbai.
The only problem is the question "who does Mumbai belong to?" is asked by one hardworking mumbaikar who is hammered by the struggles that comes with Mumbai to the hardworking so called "outsider" who is also struggling 🤣
Call him a nepo kid or what you want, but in less than 7 years, this man has revolutionised women’s cricket. He has done more than all those great MCC and ICC officials who ran cricket for decades. Had he been an Englishman or an Australian, he would have been knighted for his services to cricket.
Yesterday I posted something. It triggered some people. Remember - People don’t argue with lies. They ignore them. They argue with the truth.
If something triggered, it touched something real. And the truth always feels like exposure.
Now let me answer the most-asked question: ‘marriage is not about money’
Hear me out. Today, I have some extra time👇
Every family, and I’m repeating it again, every family asks about income, profession, lifestyle, assets, and background before saying yes.
So the real world is already doing the math. I’m just saying it out loud.
People don’t choose partners based on love alone. Whether it’s a love marriage or an arranged marriage, they choose based on a combination of love, money, status, looks, education, values, lifestyle, and security.
Income plays a major role. It always has, and it always will.
Pretending it doesn’t exist doesn’t make it disappear.
Everything in life is transactional. The degree varies, but the transaction never disappears.
People just get uncomfortable when money is part of the transaction because it makes the trade-offs visible.
If marriage wasn’t transactional, why do most women refuse to marry men earning significantly less than them?
Why is salary discussed before commitment? Why do families ask about income before compatibility? Why does profession matter before the first meeting?
That’s not a criticism. That’s reality. The transaction exists whether you acknowledge it or not. Some people see it clearly. Some people prefer not to see it.
And yes, of course, exceptions exist. They do in every field. Every group has 5-7% of people who operate differently. I’m talking about majority patterns, not exceptions.
I live just 10 km away from my office, so this weekend I thought of finding a flat nearby. I was hoping for a 1 BHK in a gated society since it's safer and has all the amenities.
Then I saw the rents.
₹30k–40k for a 1 BHK. 🤯
I literally dropped the plan of shifting. I'll continue spending 2 hours daily in traffic.
After all, I'm already paying lakhs in taxes to government, I should spend some time on road🙂
After resigning from the BJP, K Annamalai says, "Today, we are going to start a movement. Our political party will contest in the next assembly election in Tamil Nadu."
Rapido exists because the founders built a product that people love.
Everyday I see women using bike taxis and I’m amazed that this is possible in a low trust environment like ours.
Rapido has a section of bike riders rated by women just to build that trust out.
Rapido innovated on their business model.
Rapido added tips to ensure people can pay extra to get rides quicker.
In a rare feat both the captains and consumers are happy by the existence of Rapido.
Credit where credit is due. The team did extremely well.
Mayawati is one of the most politically astute leaders.
Of course, anything a politician says must be taken with a pinch of salt, because more often than not it is driven by strategy rather than sincere belief. But the ability to read public mood and recalibrate strategy accordingly demands intelligence and political instinct. Mayawati clearly has both.
She is perhaps the only prominent leader today who openly calls out casteism in all its forms, without selective outrage. That deserves credit.
Who would have imagined a decade ago that a Hindutva party would frame rules effectively demonising its most prominent support group, while a major Bahujan leader would stand up against it?
Whenever a path breaking and monstrous hit like #dhurandhar comes , the industry people will wish to ignore it because they will feel threatened by it due to their inability to match it’s standards ..So they will think of it as a nightmare, which will vanish when they wake up in their own films This is even more true of all the so called pan india biggies which are right now under various stages of production.. They were all written and mounted , modelled on the films made before #dhurandhar which is the exact opposite of what they all believed will work .. what’s even more worrisome is that #dhurandhar apart from being a omega hit also is the most discussed film since the last 50 years
Everyone of us experienced an incident like we going to visit someone’s house and we see a large scary looking dog which keeps staring at us .. Inspite of the owner assuring it’s harmless and advises us to ignore it , the tension will remain and will keep growing and we can’t resist seeing it from the corner of our eyes .. #Durandhar will be like that monstrous dog which will be invisibly pacing around in every production office wherever the upcoming biggies are being made .. They will try their level best to even avoid uttering the dog’s name, but it will keep loitering in all their minds ..To that extent #dhurandhar will actually be like a HORROR film for all those makers who believed in the earlier template of VFX ridden , expensive sets , item song ridden and the Hero worship template ..And now in #dhurandhar with the film being worshipped instead of the star, they would be getting crucified in their own self created dungeon of masala films .. But no matter how much they wish the dog won’t go away .. it will be here to bite whenever their next film releases
More than anything else @AdityaDharFilms is forcing the industry people to look at their own films in the mirror , in comparison to the beautiful looking #dhurandhar
Agreed.
In the universe Dhurandhar is set in, with the societal norms the director chose to depict, it is a male-dominated world , yet the women are treated with dignity. They aren’t beaten, objectified, or shown as one of many wives, even though that society could have allowed it. It’s important to remember we’re dealing with a very different world.
Sorry that the grain of this story doesn’t allow for glamorous heroines singing songs on exotic beaches, that may work for other scripts, but not in this one.
That said, as an actor, I do hope I also get opportunities to be part of women-centric narratives.
