116 Prisoners of War Killed and 32 Injured in Airstrike by the Fascist Military Junta on a POW Detention Camp in Dalet Chaung Area, Ann Township, Arakan

During an airstrike carried out by the fascist military junta on a prisoner-of-war detention camp in Dalet Chaung area, Ann Township, Arakan, 116 prisoners of war were killed and 32 were injured, while some civilian detainees were also killed and injured.

On March 8, 2026, from 11:02 a.m. to 2:28 p.m., the fascist military junta forces conducted continuous aerial bombardments for approximately three and a half hours using four jet fighters and four Y-12 aircraft against the prisoner-of-war detention camp located in the Dalet Chaung area of Ann Township, Arakan.

According to the latest figures, 116 prisoners of war were killed and 32 injured due to this inhumane aerial attack carried out by the terrorist military junta forces. In addition, there are many others who sustained severe, moderate, and minor injuries. Some civilian detainees also died and were injured during the incident.

This incident represents the deadliest event involving casualties among prisoners of war (members of the junta forces) during aerial attacks conducted by the fascist military junta in the Arakan region. A number of senior military officers were also killed instantly at the scene.

Some of the bodies of the prisoners of war are difficult to identify, and there are also missing bodies where no remains have been recovered. Therefore, more detailed information will be provided once verification and further investigation are completed.

အကြမ်းဖက် စစ်ကော်မရှင်တပ်၏ လူမဆန်စွာ လေကြောင်းတိုက်ခိုက်မှုကြောင့် လတ်တလောစာရင်းအရ စစ်သုံ့ပန်း (၁၁၆) ဦး သေဆုံးခဲ့ပြီး (၃၂) ဦး ဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့သည်။ ထို့အပြင် ပြင်းထန်၊ အလတ်စား၊ အသေးစားဒဏ်ရာရရှိသူများ မြောက်မြားစွာရှိနေသေးသည်။ အရပ်သားများထဲမှ ပြစ်ဒဏ်ကျခံရသူအချို့လည်း ဤဖြစ်စဉ်အတွင်း သေဆုံး၊ ဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့သည်။

ဤဖြစ်စဉ်သည် အာရက္ခဒေသအတွင်း ဖက်ဆစ် အကြမ်းဖက် စစ်ကော်မရှင်တပ်၏ လေကြောင်းမှ အကြမ်းဖက် တိုက်ခိုက်မှုဖြစ်စဉ်အတွင်း စစ်သုံ့ပန်း (စစ်ကော်မရှင်တပ်ဖွဲ့ဝင်များ) အသေအပျောက် အများဆုံးဖြစ်စဉ်ဖြစ်ပြီး စစ်ဘက်အရာရှိကြီးများစွာလည်း ပွဲချင်းပြီးသေဆုံးခဲ့ကြသည်။

စစ်သုံ့ပန်းအလောင်းအချို့မှာ မည်သူမည်ဝါမှန်း စစ်ဆေးရန်ခက်ခဲခြင်း၊ ခန္ဓာအစများ တစ်စမှ မရရှိသော ပျောက်ဆုံးအလောင်းများလည်း ရှိနေသေးသောကြောင့် အသေးစိတ် အချက်အလက်များကို စစ်ဆေးပြီးသည့်အချိန်တွင် ဆက်လက်တင်ပြပေးသွားပါမည်။
