I started trading with $2,000 in 1999.
Lost it.

Here’s my journey 👇
I know it hurts but the best thing you can do is learn something from it and become even a better trader. That way the loss becomes a positive instead of just a negative. Refining your rules and playbook from a big loss or losing streak is often where the biggest growth comes from. Every great trader has suffered from big losses.
May scorecard for @veptrader: $411K in verified profit, pushing his all-time total toward $10M.
Small caps, long and short, verified since 2016. 21,000+ trades on the record ✅
+30k realized. I wasn't planning on trading much but most of the trades came later in the day. $ASTC I sat on my hands until that halt down. I shorted part on the resumption and then added into the bounce and covered leading into the close. I was hoping for more downside that never came but still a decent winner. $BCAR was a small swing that I sold. $MNTS I held a short overnight and added into the morning weakness and covered a bunch into the flush after 10:00 but did keep some for a bigger move but it ended up bouncing. I did trade it more throughout the day but didn't really add anything to the PL. $MYND I shorted after that first spike and covered down to .41. $PRFX sat around all day and longs probably thinking it will spike up and halt, halt, halt any minute since that has been the environment but instead it flush so I chased it down as I felt weren't many short and more full of longs that needed to sell. I covered into weakness. I only had a small locate. $SPRC I shorted premarket and at the open and covered into weakness but then had to chase the rest around 9.50 as I was just done with it. It was a small size trade. I'll be on vacation all next week.
@5vaaa3 You can't manage a stop-loss unless you get access with a broker with extended 24/5 trading and probably regular stops wouldn't work at those hours. I don't have a broker that allows 24/5 trading. Its dangerous and I don't hold size overnight especially with a micro float.
+17k on $QTEX long from yesterday. I got my revenge after losing on the short yesterday. Here are my sells on a chart. A few people have been asking for this so just trying it out. Don't expect this for every trade. I feel like all the arrows on the chart looks like how @modern_rock trades. I have software that does it for me though ;) I talk a little bit about the software in the podcast I did last month with @IUTraders@InvestorsLive https://t.co/dGuIZweejA
Everyone should check the podcast. It was my first one. I'm shy in nature so it was hard putting myself out there like that.
+22k realized but didn't trade well. The +30k in $RKLB was me selling the rest of my swing position in which I sold after the open spike. Smaller winners in $AIM and $SNGX in which I held overnight and covered some premarket and in the morning session. $ASTC I attached a chart with my trade arrows. I located large size but never got near that size luckily. I had a decent profit but wanted a bigger score after the morning session since I had small size and that little mistake compounded the loss. After the first smaller midday bounces I doubled my size and then ended up stopping out into the big spike and took a decently nasty loss. I collected myself and got a nice short off later heading into the close and made back over half the losses. $MNTS similar mistake as I wanted to go for the bigger fade so the first big flush in the morning I barely covered any and then almost retested and again only small covers. I ended up reducing heading into midday and I thought the space theme needed to rest since drones and AI were taking over some of the attention so I got stubborn and got chopped up the rest of the day. The easiest money has been on the long side recently. $QTEK I talked about my trade in my earlier post. It ended up going higher without me. I'm gone all next week on vacation so will continue to reduce my swings.
Geez it is so tough to be a short seller with all these reclaim moves. $ASTC looked good until it didn't. I went for the all day fade instead of taking the profits and paid the price.
@aaarturito76 I don't use DAS charts but I figured out how to do it this morning. I don't have time to post charts for everything but will try to post some now and then.
+58k realized and another day I pissed away some money after the morning session. $MNTS I didn't trade after the morning and super glad I didn't get greedy with it. What got me was after the morning session I held some $QTEX short even though I been overall bullish on it but it was looking like the momentum turned and was going to cover low 1s. Well after the morning session instead of just covering and moving on I got complacent and thought I will just hold all day. I didn't have a hard stop in and was away from my desk when it started breaking out. Then when I finally saw it in the 1.50s I was way too passive and was hoping to get more aggressive covering dips rather than chasing which turned only compounding the loss. I did realized some money going long. $ASTC I sat on my hands until I couldn't help myself and even then only shorted it small but still was a nice little winner. I missed the fades in $RCT and $AIM even though I had locates. I've been more patient on the short side and waiting for more extreme moves but there are so many runners everyday now and rotation between those runners that I might try to scalp more instead of taking the bigger picture trades. $ATPC running hard after hours which is likely causing trouble for $ASTC. Got family obligations today so doing this earlier than usual.
@madaznfootballr I feel your pain as I’ve been there many times before where start grinding and doing well and then get smashed. When trading with size it’s such a fine line between having a nice score versus a big loss. Hang in there and get back to the grind.
