It’s a great feeling to walk out of a movie that you enjoyed like #MastersofTheUniverse but it’s a whole other level of euphoria to walk out to a packed and bustling theater lobby filled with people of all ages. Love seeing movie theaters thriving again! 😊
Audience scores and ratings are very good for Masters of the Universe so far. The Rotten Tomatoes popcornmeter is 90%. The IMDB bayesian rating is already above 7/10.
People are genuinely enjoying the movie.
Both a hoot and a holler, Masters of the Universe is the best possible live action version of a very silly cartoon.
I had so much fun with this! Great gags, over the top performances (looking at you Alison Brie), and a relatable hero, it has it all
Leto the MVP, he's astounding
Just saw #MastersofTheUniverse in IMAX and man I really enjoyed this movie. legitimately some goofy, sometimes cheesy, fun but it's a He-Man movie so it's to be expected. Jared Leto absolutely crushed it as Skeletor. standout performance type shit. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
Masters of the Universe is pretty rad. It’s a super sci-fi action film mixed with the camp of a Saturday morning cartoon. The writing at times can be quite egregious, but more times than not you will be enthralled with the characters. And yes… Jared Leto is great as Skeletor.
Just finished He-Man with the kids.
It is made squarely for 10yo boys, in the best possible way. They balanced camp and epicness really well. Action was well done. Some good family stuff and positive message. Nailed the over the top designs in live action.
And I can’t believe I’m saying this but.
Jared Leto killed it as Skeletor.
Early audiences have spoken, & (so far) they agree that ‘Masters Of The Universe’ has the power! 90% 🍿!!! WOW!!!
Like I said last night, the movie is awesome & so much fun!
Go see it! #MastersOfTheUniverse@HeManiaOfficial@Redpyramid9@motumovie2026
Loved Masters of the Universe. Silly, funny and an 80's rock soundtrack that sounds like Brian May shredding for two hours straight.
It doesn't take itself too seriously. Neither does Jared Leto as Skeletor, one of the funnier villains in recent memory. Adam from HR is great!
#MastersOfTheUniverse had my audience roaring with laughter, and clapping with excitement. Travis Knight knows how to please an audience. Nicholas Galitzine was perfect as He-Man, but Skeletor absolutely stole the show.
It’s that good blockbuster stuff we all know and love!
#MastersOfTheUniverse won me over a lot more than anticipated. It’s bad ass! Travis Knight embraces the IP’s campy fantasy roots and delivers a crowd-pleasing adventure with plenty of humor, heart and spectacle.
Nicholas Galitzine is a strong lead as He-Man, bringing sincerity and vulnerability to the role, while Jared Leto is the films standout performance, nearly unrecognizable as Skeletor and undoubtedly the MVP.
The film isn’t without its issues — the early half can feel a little uneven — but once it finds its rhythm, it’s a rock n roll show you don’t want to end. The vibrant visuals help bring Eternia to life, and the metal score from Daniel Pemberton and Brian May are a character of its own, adding a real sense of scale and excitement.
Beneath the wonder, the story’s focus on identity, strength and overcoming ego gives it more depth than expected. It may not be perfect, but it’s easily one of the most enjoyable blockbuster experiences I’ve had this year. This deserves to be wildly successful.
At first I wasn’t interested in this movie and I didn’t grow up watching He-Man, but Skeletor looked way too funny to miss.
Now Watching: #MastersOfTheUniverse
I absolutely loved @mastersmovie!!! So much fun!! Doesn’t take itself seriously! Just enough action, reverence to the source without negating the fun people have had with it today! Leto as Skeletor chews the scenery beautifully!!!
A truly great time! Score and soundtrack is killer as well!
#MastersOfTheUniverse is surprisingly self-aware and packed full of retro goodness. Travis Knight once again injects a ton of color and style into a world that visually thrives because of it. The score is fantastic, and Leto’s Skeletor is a top-tier villain. It’s actually unbelievable how much fun this character is.
Where the film falls short is in its inability to maintain momentum… it constantly has to insert a joke. The humor is just so inconsistent, often thriving but occasionally missing the mark. While it has no business being over two hours, our time on Eternia will make the experience worthy for hardcore fans and casual viewers. Also, Nicholas Galitzine as Adam has this Clark Kent quality to him that works well.
