Today, Gaza is burying the remains of 112 members of al-Hasayna and Abu Sharia families, including 40 children, 38 women, and 7 people with disabilities

The remains were recovered from the rubble recently after Israel bombed a residential block containing homes belonging to the al-Hasayna and Abu Sharia families on 23 November 2023, one day before the first truce in the Gaza war took effect.

Gaza civil defence Mohammed Abu Dan, who supervised the recovery operation, said crews were unable to recover another 157 bodies believed to remain buried under the rubble.
