Cambridge published a meta-analysis last year on the persuasiveness of 'narrative entertainment (TV, film, etc).

The results showed it was particularly effective for reducing out-group stigma/prejudice, thus making it an extremely potent instrument for anti-White propaganda.

This is why you have orgs like the Norman Lear Center's 'Hollywood, Health & Society' program consulting with producers to 'normalise behaviours' regarding not only health, but race. You can find documents on 'Systemic Racism' and the 'History of Whiteness' on their website.

Hollywood uses common themes and allegories in order to inculcate subversive behaviours into Western audiences. One recurring trope is the 'Birthright' sacrifice, in which a White character (often representing Western patrimony) redeems themselves by relinquishing status, property, or their lives to a non-White racial other. This act is framed as a kind of moral ascendency - @WSdagg has done several brilliant video essays on this topic.

One of the most explicit examples is the film Knives Out (2019). Harlan Thrombey, a wealthy White novelist, slits his throat to protect his kind Ecuadorian anchor-baby nurse. He rewrites his will, leaving his estate and publishing empire to her instead of his own family. His disgruntled family are depicted as greedy, vulgar, and backstabbing, while the nurse is selfless and morally incorruptible (she literally cannot lie without vomiting). In the denouement, the most detestable family member delivers the following monologue...

The intention of the film is obvious: White people (and by extension, White societies) achieve redemption by sacrificing themselves and their inheritance for outsiders, while anyone who resists this civilisational transfer is a villain.

This perverse morality has been deliberately seeded into the minds of millions of White people for decades.

I'll say it again, the general public today has deep knowledge about criminology.

One thing everyone knows is that if there is extreme excess in violence regarding murder, then it means it was a crime of passion, meaning one of two things: the perpetrator knew the victim, or, as in the case of serial killers, the perpetrator had a pathological fixation with a specific type of victim.

Hence, we know, given the excess violence of farm murders, and the fact that most of the victims never had any relationship with their attackers, that there is, among the attackers, a pathological fixation with the type of victims.

The invariants are race and occupation.

We know these are motivated by hate, the logistical vulnerability of the victims, and further, the symbolic meaning of the farmer to the Afrikaner people.

This is classic terrorism -> to violently kill the innocent as a symbol of other innocents, for the purpose of spreading terror and fear among the rest who 'share the type'.

This is so obvious, and given the baseline of criminological knowledge the general population has due to the ubiquity of True Crime series, books, podcasts, etc., everyone has the capacity and experience to connect the dots.

It is surprising on three fronts then, that the general population refuses to connect the dots; that many or even most do in fact connect the dots, but are in denial or consciously lying about having connected them; and that criminological frameworks are always absent from the debate.

It is basically a stereotype of the journalist to be obsessed with True Crime, even when it is not their main area of focus.

So, the great majority of journalists, either South African or international, are either negligent or malicious when it comes to the topic of farm murders.

Ignorance is not an excuse anymore, not for the journalist, but not for the general public.

And again, the lack of malicious intent, as in the case of negligence, does not remove accountability.
