sometimes peace comes in pockets. it comes to you slowly, in specific phases, in intentional moments. sometimes it arrives unannounced, undetected, unexpectedly. sometimes you have to experience the brief moments of internal chaos to finally recognize what peace looks like.
Were you the “good kid” who “parents never had to worry about”?
Watch out for those kids. They may turn up in therapy 10-20 years later with repressed emotions, overfunctioning, and the inability to ask for help because they’ve always had to be perfect.
you still deserve love in your inconsistent stages. in the moments where showing up feels more foreign than home, in the times you bounce between guilt and acceptance, you still deserve to feel the softness that comes with trying to find your way back home to yourself.
i can't stand profs who are so proud that they fail students. i also hate it when they are mad when asked about certain topics or even just clarifying instructions. aren't we trying to build a healthy connection between students and teachers? necessary ba yung galit sa teaching?

Kids aren’t responsible to know how to navigate their parents tempers, mood swings, and/or bad days. If you grew up thinking otherwise, this could be a key indicator to why you feel overly responsible for other people’s well-being while unknowingly neglecting your own.
