While I welcome the Govt's decision to enhance the stipend of medical interns, justice must not be selective. Have written to HCM @OmarAbdullah sb to end the disparity by substantially increasing the meagre ₹6,000 monthly stipend of veterinary interns in J&K and fast-tracking the long-pending recruitment of agriculture graduates.

Our veterinary interns deserve dignity & our unemployed agriculture graduates deserve jobs. Their concerns demand urgent action, not mere assurances. Let no professional community be left behind.

J&K’s youth deserve fairness, opportunity and justice.

MMU strongly rejects any attempt by the Waqf Board to prescribe uniform Friday sermons. The Mimbar is an Amanah, and religious guidance is the domain of Ulema and Imams, not state-linked bodies. Such interference in matters of faith and religious practice is unacceptable. The Waqf Board must confine itself to its administrative responsibilities.

🔥 RESULTS OVER RHETORIC:

THE SCAM EXPOSED: @skuast_kashmir & @SKUASTJammu secretly inflated BVSc & AH admissions to ~188 seats—more than DOUBLE the VCI-sanctioned capacity of 75/88 seats—without mandatory Central Government approval. This illegal expansion endangered hundreds of innocent students with the grim prospect of unrecognized degrees and denied practitioner licenses.

THE ACTION & VICTORY: While @CM_Jnk - @OmarAbdullah and his incompetent @JKNC_ Govt remained silent, passive spectators to this massive institutional corruption, @imrankehwah sb stepped up! @OfficeOfSMI gathered documentary proof and filed a formal representation to protect our youth.

Taking direct cognizance of @imrankehwah Sb’s representation, the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) has officially ordered both universities to strictly enforce approved seat caps (75 for Srinagar, 88 for Jammu) and warned that unapproved excess intake faces cancellation! We extend our gratitude to the VCI & Union Ministry for taking decisive action on our Legal representation.
