Perched atop Mount Roosevelt just outside Deadwood, Friendship Tower was built in 1919 by Seth Bullock as a tribute to his longtime friend, President Theodore Roosevelt, following Roosevelt’s death earlier that year.

Today, visitors can take a short hike to the tower and enjoy sweeping views of the Black Hills from this historic landmark. It’s a beautiful spot where Deadwood history, friendship, and the outdoors come together.

There will be road closures around the Tropicana demolition site to protect public safety. The general boundaries are Mandalay Bay Rd to the south, Park Ave to the north, Koval Ln to the east and Frank Sinatra Dr to the west. Reno Ave from Frank Sinatra Dr to Koval Ln also will be closed. Uniformed officers will be on site to keep pedestrian and vehicular traffic out of the area. The closures are scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. on Tues, Oct. 8., with closures in place by 12:30 a.m. on Wed, Oct. 9. The roads are expected to be re-opened by 6 a.m. on Wed, Oct. 9. There is no area being set aside for the public to view the implosion, which is scheduled to occur at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 9. The public is advised to check local listings for live broadcasts.

Finally Donald Trump lost his temper and said, “What a moron!”

The judge, flushed with anger, shouted, “$1,000 fine!”

“$1,000 dollars?!” Trump said. “I said three words.”

“Those three words were contempt of court,” the judge said, “and that’s a $1,000 fine.”

Mr. Trump got out his wallet and started looking through it.

Thinking there’s been a misunderstanding, Judge Merchan calmed down a bit and said, “you don’t have to pay now.”

Mr. Trump, “No, I’m just checking to see if I have enough cash on me for two more words.... just two more!”
