Dear @CMOTamilnadu Why not treat rooftop solar in apartments like car parking? Every flat gets a registered "solar share" instead of a physical roof portion. The apartment association installs & maintains one common solar plant. TN should make this mandatory for new apartments.

The recent moves by TN Government and @tnhrcedept to cancel the Government Orders issued for illegal projects of Wedding Halls and Commercial Complexes in Temple lands using Temple funds is great development to protect the interests of Hindu Temples by @CMOTamilnadu - Shri Joesph Vijay - we also owe our thanks to the Minister of @tnhrcedept Shri @RameshOffcl

The previous DMK regime with @PKSekarbabu at he helm of HR&CE Department deliberately violated every law in the HR&CE Act that was meant to protect Hindu Temples and Endowments. Temples lost 1000s of Crores of rupees.

The assurance now given by Chief Minister Vijay - through the Governor's address - that the @tnhrcedept will be structurally reformed, focussed audit for temple properties will take place and all past malpractices of the Department will be eliminated - - should be welcomed by ALL Hindus in Tamil Nadu and across INDIA.

தவெக அரசு தனது தேர்தல் வாக்குறுதிகளில், 5 ஏக்கர் வரை நிலம் வைத்திருக்கும் விவசாயிகளின் கூட்டுறவுப் பயிர்க் கடனை முழுமையாக தள்ளுபடி செய்வோம் என்று கூறி ஆட்சிக்கு வந்த நிலையில், தற்போது ₹75,000 வரையிலான கடன் தொகை மட்டுமே முழுமையாக தள்ளுபடி செய்யவோம் என்று அறிவித்துள்ளது. இதனால், அதிர்ச்சியடைந்துள்ள விவசாயிகள், சேலம் மாவட்ட ஆட்சியாளர் அலுவலகம் முன்பாக, தங்களைச் சாட்டையால் அடித்துக் கொண்டு போராட்டம் நடத்தியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

கடந்த 1970 ஆம் ஆண்டு, இதே நாளில்தான், விவசாயத்துக்கு வழங்கப்படும் மின்சாரக் கட்டண உயர்வை எதிர்த்துப் போராடிய விவசாயிகள் மீது துப்பாக்கிச் சூடு நடந்து, மூன்று விவசாயிகள் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். 56 ஆண்டுகள் கடந்தும், அதே நாளில், மீண்டும் விவசாயிகள் தங்கள் கோரிக்கைகளுக்காக தங்களையே வருத்திக் கொள்ளும் நிலையில் இருப்பது வருத்தமளிக்கிறது.

கொடுத்த வாக்குறுதியை முழுமையாக நிறைவேற்றுவதே அரசின் கடமை. இது போன்று கடந்த ஆட்சியில் வாக்குறுதிகளை நிறைவேற்றாமல் மக்களை ஏமாற்றியதாலேயே, மக்கள் மாற்றம் வேண்டி தவெக அரசைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தனர். ஆனால், பெயரில் மட்டுமே மாற்றம் இருப்பது துரதிருஷ்டவசமானது.

உடனடியாக, தவெக அரசு, தங்கள் தேர்தல் வாக்குறுதியின்படி, 5 ஏக்கர் வரை நிலம் வைத்திருக்கும் விவசாயிகளின் பயிர்க்கடனை முழுமையாகத் தள்ளுபடி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்றும், விவசாயிகளை மேலும் வருத்த வேண்டாம் என்றும் வலியுறுத்துகிறேன்.

I listened to @annamalai_k podcast.
My takeaway is simple: He is genuinely interested in bringing change from the grassroots. That is why he is not in a hurry. He is focused on building the basics first.

I see no reason to doubt his intentions. Those who speak ill of him are either jealous or politically biased.

@VamsiChandran Absolutely. Actually no site will be perfect. Parandur seems the only option with least issues. Guys who oppose,should go through the justification report from AAI as why the other sites evaluated aren't best fit. If TN planning for 1.5T, 2nd airport is the key priority

@UpdatesChennai After going through the AAI justification report, it looks like there's no better alternative than parandur. Not sure why Paranur wasn't evaluated. But agree with you that we are already too late for the 2nd airport. Parandur probably the better in all aspects.

@dmuthuk Sir, we all know that acquisition area consists of water bodies, and a much larger portion consists of wet agricultural land connected to the lakes (Nanjai). Is Parandur is the only option? Why any alternate places like Pannur , Paranur arent being discussed cc: @UpdatesChennai
