It’s unfortunate that you can’t have a contract to warn the consumer about low performant or unstable operations beyond the documentation (Apache commons, for example, has many of these).

@kopseng @lvdhoek @mariofusco @application The benefit to skip the class name is not to make the line shorter, it’s because the class argument may not match the actual class, which usually happens when someone copy/paste de logger from another class.

BTW who still uses Slf4j? Log4j2 has a better API and you don’t need to pass the class name to the logger factory.
