Another thing the geek squad won’t tell you is their extended service plan voids the manufacturer’s warranty, which in reality is BETTER than that of the geek squad. Had to get the Better Business Bureau involved to get Best Buy to honor their service contract. Avoid Best Buy.

Geek squad is a scam! If you are considering one of their service contracts on a large appliance, this what they won’t tell you: if you live in a small town or rural area, you will wait several weeks before a repairman can even LOOK at your appliance.

@WhirlpoolCare we purchased our refrigerator in January of 2020. I has quit cooling. The motor runs constantly but it does not cool. Piece of junk? What are you going to do about it?

@BestBuySupport when a customer purchases an appliance the service contract line is “if there’s a problem we will fix it or replace it”. What a joke! No repairman available to even look at the refrigerator problem for 10 days. Don’t buy service contract at Best Buy. Rip off!

@BestBuySupport your service plans are a complete rip@off for any customer living in a small town. Our two year old refrigerator completely quit cooling. No one to even look at it for 10 days. Then if it can’t be fixed, longer to get a replacement.

@WhirlpoolCare I am so disgusted with our two year old refrigerator that has quit working. It is a horrible appliance. I thought whirlpool was better than that. I will be sure to let anyone purchasing a new appliance to avoid whirlpool at all costs.

Just a warning: if you don’t live in a larger city, Best Buy Geek Squad protection is a total rip off and a joke when it comes to large appliances. It takes weeks to have a problem looked at and replacement takes an act of God. Very poor customer service on appliances.
