My books are now leaving Kindle Unlimited.
I've removed The Year Before the End, and Galaxy Bound disappears on July 10th.
This is mainly because I want to be able to make the digital version available other places than Amazon.
There's also a Patreon announcement coming...
@bitfield And yet the right answer is often "yes" or "maybe, depends on context". It's bad for it to be too easy to accidentally ignore important errors, but it's also bad to create un-mutable noise in the many cases where error importance is contextual.
@DavidLammy Why are you lying about Labours simpering, cowardly stance?
Are you going to have the Labour compliance unit look into the Labour MPs who went to visit Israel's genocide apologist president to show their support for a man explicitly *called out by the ICJ for his extremism*?
@zdboren Just thought you'd like to know your piece in the Independent on the letter by the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network currently instead links to the International Journal of Slots and casino News...
@slumskull @williamlegate In other words, in many of the situations where a block is most useful and importing, muting is potentially *worse than doing nothing*.
@slumskull @williamlegate Muting is significantly worse, because if you e.g. mute someone who is harassing you or stalking you, they remain free to *reply to all of your tweets and put their abuse in front of all your followers* without you knowing.
@Sranang_Mang@TechnicallyRon Or, you know, you could try to grasp the difference between banning talking about Nazis (which nobody has asked for) and banning Nazis (which lots of people have asked for)
@janeandrsn @doc_gero@elonmusk He posted a screenshot full of lies about Hotez. The screenshot was from a site that linked a bunch of people to the classic Rothschild antisemitic conspiracy theory. He's since claimed "A friend" conveniently happened to send it to him 1 day after the obscure site went online.
@_travis2323 Given the rest of the site was full of antisemitic conspiracy bullshit trying to link everyone to the Rothschilds, and ludicrously obviously made up claims he was either knowingly being dishonest or he is so stupid it's a wonder he can function day to day.
@G33kOfAllTrades He posted without the full source because the full source is an obviously fabricated site full of lies and antisemitic conspiracy nonsense.
@Michael28198203@Vaughn80004@cliftonaduncan@doc_gero Learned people did not believe the earth was flat in the middle ages. The notion of a spherical earth goes back *at least* to Plato(427–347 BC), possibly earlier.
For a very clear demonstration, read Dante's Inferno (13th century), which describes it in detail.
@astr0meb@tyler@PeterHotez Do you think Einstein would show up to a random debate with a near guarantee the other side would be engaging in bad faith and spew unverifiable lies?
If Einstein didn't debate a flat earther I'd conclude the flat earther wasn't worth giving a platform.
@_dekdo@tyler@PeterHotez RFK's anti-MMR bullshit alone has almost certainly cost significant numbers of lives. In my opinion, RFK is a mass murderer, and giving him a platform is as vile as giving any other mass murderer a platform.
