How I'd speed run my app to $13k/m (again).
1. The app itself.
• Release in a unsaturated niche or have a new idea. Spend a week finding this, thinking of ideas, doing research. People make a calorie app & are surprised when no one buys it??
• Build iOS only, native swift, ez mode to make great looking UIs with liquid glass. Browse pinterest and remake assets with GPT. Use as little text as possible.
• Cloudflare backend: R2 for images & D1 for the database. Ez mode infra. Never use firebase.
• Pay a designer for your app store screenshots. Most people don't have good enough taste, there's peeps that do great stuff for like $50.
• Measure your onboarding with posthog. Aim for 90% onboarding completion. Imo you're doing something wrong if you're not hitting at least 80%.
• I do 12-13 screens total, and paywall should be clean super nice and minimal. Add a transaction abandon offer in there as well in a follow up release.
2. Release Day.
• Pump apple store ads from DAY ONE. Using competitor keywords, get as many downloads as possible in your first week. This matters a lot in the apple algo ongoing.
• Apple ads will carry you to at least 1k/mo if you're in the right niche and positioned your app properly.
• Do founder led content on TT and IG, my boys have told me trial reels are OP.
3. Scaling.
• Use Appsflyer or Singular as the MMP, or build your own. Then scale to the moon with TT / meta ads.
• Shotgun approach the ads, run as many as possible at first to find a format that works well for you.
• If they're just under profitable then carry on running them. Calculate this via LTV < CPA. If you're profitable, keep em going.
• Ads can take a while to get cooking, and it'll cost about 1k to get started. But trust the process. If you're scared, validate the app first with organic and apple store ads.
4. Loop & iterate.
• Keep iterating on the app, reduce churn as much as physically possible (you don't want to have a leaky bucket, you're losing free renewal money!)
• Automate as much as possible, give your agent Apple Store Connect API, so it can submit app updates itself. Game changer.
• Keep trying new formats and new marketing strategies, this is js what worked for me, you gotta experiment with everything.
This really is all you need to get started. The positioning and app idea are most important, esp if you want Apple Ads to work. They won't on generic app ideas!!
Also, stay in line with Apple, I've got lots of nice upsells in my app, but they were all approved via an app update, included in notes etc.
It takes A LOT of effort and consistency to scale an app like this, I can write it out on a list like here, but it's not simple or easy. Don't overthink it too much and keep going!!
@errenozgur Bence her ikisi de aynı iş yükü sadece Play Store’da uzun süre bekleme ihtimalin daha az gibi. Siz sadece işlemlere Apple ile alıştığınız için öyle geliyor
