@lovefalice I mean, we are talking about the RIVERDALE fandom here, they're not exactly people whose opinion I would trust anyway.

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@Aaca5782 @_chrishaynes @briellerumsey1 That also shows that she is multi layered. She can be a wise woman but still let her anger get to her. However, I do understand what you mean. There might be a way to implement a more "politically correct" way of protest, but sometimes enough is enough. #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes @cocogoesdigital The reason why it's activism is because it goes against the status quo. In an age where we are questioning issues like race, gender and religion to such a high degree, having a hero that goes against old preconceptions is in itself an act of rebellion. #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes With the anti-muslim sentiment that has steadily increased since the new presidency, having Kamala rip Trump's image shows the protestation of the character and the author. #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes This image is a clear exemple of how political activism can take on many forms. Comic books allow to reach a wider audience and to spread the message through pop culture. #synth #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes I would also had that enbiggen almost has a spiritual aspect, a notion of rising above the human condition, to accept, unite and through it to become a better human being. #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes There are three different panels in this passage. The first two are close ups of Kamala's facial expressions and the third one is a bigger panel that shows her entire body running towards the water. This creates a contrast that highlights the message of the passage. #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@annalisaboulder @_chrishaynes @monicapatten_ I think this comic is important because it uses identities that are commonly seen as inferior (such as being a muslim woman) and utilizes those so-called weaknesses into strength. #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes By using the passage of what is considered by a good portion of the US a highly dangerous and controversial religion, Ms Marvel reminds us that there is more that unites us than divides us. Everyone should strive to be brave and to care about another human life. #synth #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes Embiggen means to become her bigger, better, stronger self. (At least it is how I interpret it.) #claim #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes This passage of Ms Marvel show her finding courage through the teachings her father has taught her from the Quran to save someone's life. #deets #engl3246

[Victoria Lacoste @vic_lacoste]

@_chrishaynes Through these lyrics, Kendrick showcases the stereotypes that black men are still subjected to. He would rather want to build than destroy. #synths
