@EGYPTAIR my bag to Cairo was delayed five days ago and I am still waiting for it to be delivered - no call center number works and the airport is not responding. @EgyptAir_Online
Investigators hired by #Socfin tell Mongabay they were shocked by findings of sexual harassment & gender-based violence on some of the company's oil palm & rubber plantations in Africa. "If they don’t make progress on these issues, we would stop working with them,” @EarthwormGlobal says.

“This suspension is a big deal... It is not often that funding of a project is stopped while an investigation by the @InspectionPanel is happening.” - @Mittaloak@Mongabay@vic_schneider: Human rights allegations prompt World Bank to freeze project’s funds in Tanzania: https://t.co/od0yOdS959

This new @WorldBank -#UN report shows that the estimates of the Gaza destruction used in my "Anatomy of a genocide" report were conservative.
The report exposes a level of erasure of a society that is unprecedented in our time:

Last year, I met a Palestinian writer, born in Haifa in 1936, who was displaced in 1948 and has been living in exile ever since. He shared that he would like to hire translators for a book he wrote about his childhood in Haifa and his journey in exile. I suggested he consider translators from Gaza, recognizing both the quality of their work and the vital support needed there. He was immediately taken with the idea and set it into motion. When we met again this week, I asked about his translation project. He said that he had found and hired young translators from Gaza, but then he said that all of them were killed by Israeli bombs in the past five months.
🔴 RSF releases the findings of its investigation into the death of @Reuters reporter Issam Abdallah in Lebanon, on the border with Israel: even though Abdallah and his colleagues were clearly identifiable as journalists, their vehicle was deliberately targeted. 👇
This is one of the most serious, vertiginous pieces of journalism I've read lately. Someone please translate it into German. kudos @972mag

This thread highlights Gaza's most significant religious, cultural, and archaeological sites. While serving as an educational resource, it also serves as a record of these sites, aiming to raise awareness about their existence and to caution against any efforts to damage them.
@StandardBankZA is once again failing to provide basic services to our nonprofit. We've been trying for 8 days to move funds from Timbuktu in the Valley's Euro account to the rand account. Staff has not been paid salaries because of this. Shameful. @mailandguardian@TheStar_news
