The @Braves broadcast team is on it today! Calling the shot with Fremin Striking out and falling down to Chris Sale. Then a good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight heading into the break. They're the best.
Wow! Why FSU decided to take those 2 timeouts back to Tallahassee with them beats me. Had a chance to beat the best team in the country in Duke. Oh well. Guess we'll have fun in the NIT tournament. Yet another example of the Noles breaking my heart.
@FreddieFreeman5 has a clutch gene. Never a moment too big for him. Guy just finds a way to get it done when you need him. Happy for him. He deserves it. But as a Braves fan, it does give you the same feeling as seeing your ex who is clearly doing better than you in public.
@_gc24 ACC crews are consistently bad. It's not just this game, it's all games. They are honestly indiscriminately awful no matter who is playing. I mean both teams have to put up with terrible officiating but it'd be nice if neither side had to. Teams, Fans, and Players deserve better.
Mario Cristobal is the most boring guest I have ever seen on The Pat McAfee Show. Legitimately awkward and the only entertaining parts were the guys on the show keeping the interview afloat. He sucks.
The people saying that Jimmy Kimmel getting cancelled is an attack on the first amendment are the same people who had zero problem with Gina Carano losing her job for what she said about the political climate.... And might I say her comments seems very applicable currently.
fact. It's b.s. You booed our anthem so automatically didn't care what American team played for it, I wanted them to win. I love knowing how much this is going to dig at them. And honestly I hope no Canadian team ever wins the cup again. I love it.
As a bolts fan I love the panthers winning. Why? Because they're in the USA. Don't care that they are our in state rival. Don't care about any of it. Canadians want the cup way more than they wanted the 4 Nations face off. They can say whatever now, but it will all be after the
In the past month all 4 playoff teams have had 1 score games against really bad football teams.
FSU has played 2 games without Jordan Travis and they won them both by 2 scores.
The narrative that Florida State had “no chance” in the playoff is absolutely fucking insane.
FSU had more yards with its third-string freshman QB than Michigan had with JJ McCarthy.
Louisville came in ranked higher than Iowa.
FSU has played a tougher schedule than Michigan.
Curious that the Noles are the undefeated team that doesn't deserve a playoff spot.
Statement from Michael Alford, Vice President and Athletics Director, Florida State University
"The consequences of giving in to a narrative of the moment are destructive, far reaching, and permanent. Not just for Florida State, but college football as a whole."
"The argument of whether a team is the 'most deserving OR best' is a false equivalence. It renders the season up to yesterday irrelevant and significantly damages the legitimacy of the College Football Playoff. The 2023 Florida State Seminoles are the epitome of a total TEAM. To eliminate them from a chance to compete for a national championship is an unwarranted injustice that shows complete disregard and disrespect for their performance and accomplishments. It is unforgiveable."
"The fact that this team has continued to close out victories in dominant fashion facing our current quarterback situation should have ENHANCED our case to get a playoff berth EARNED on the field. Instead, the committee decided to elevate themselves and 'make history' today by departing from what makes this sport great by excluding an undefeated Power 5 conference champion for the first time since the advent of the BCS/CFP era that began 25 years ago. This ridiculous decision is a departure from the competitive expectations that have stood the test of time in college football."
"Wins matter. Losses matter. Those that compete in the arena know this. Those on the committee who also competed in the sport and should have known this have forgotten it. Today, they changed the way success is assessed in college football, from a tangible metric - winning on the field - to an intangible, subjective one. Evidently, predicting the future matters more."
"For many of us, today's decision by the committee has forever damaged the credibility of the institution that is the College Football Playoff. And, saddest of all, it was self-inflicted. They chose predictive competitiveness over proven performance; subjectivity over fact. They have become a committee of prognosticators. They have abandoned their responsibility by discarding their purpose – to evaluate performance on the field."
"Our players, coaches, and fans - as well as all those who love this sport - deserve better. The committee failed college football today."
Remember this: the SEC’s best nonconference win AS AN ENTIRE CONFERENCE is over Louisville. The same Louisville FSU held to 2.7 YPP and 6 points.
Think about that for a second.
The NCAA's decision to deny @DevontezWalker eligibility for the 2023 season is a travesty. Their entire logic behind the decision is incredibly flawed. This has been a charade from the start. Sadly these are the types of decisions we have come to expect from the institution.
