i feel so lucky the first time i ever watched edward yang’s 《青梅竹馬taipei story》was at a 35mm screening at the nyff a few years back. i was trying not to blink the entire time and the birthday scene with the majestic fujifilm sign is forever seared into my cinematic memory 🤩
