On July 13, 2011, coordinated bomb blasts ripped through Mumbai's 𝐙𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫, 𝐃𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, killing 26 innocent people and injuring over 140.

Coming less than three years after the 26/11 attacks, the bombings once again exposed serious concerns over the Congress-led UPA government's intelligence coordination, surveillance, policing, and counter-terror preparedness. Despite repeated terror strikes and clear warnings, critical security vulnerabilities remained inadequately addressed.

The 13/7 attacks remain a painful reminder of the cost of weak counter-terror preparedness. At a time when India needed an uncompromising stance against terrorism and decisive action to strengthen national security, Congress failed to deliver a robust and effective response.

This tragedy, along with several others, underscored the price of delayed action and unresolved security vulnerabilities.
