The average sentence for involuntary manslaughter in NC is 13-41 months in prison.

I have no idea what happened here.

She was driving without a license.
She ran a red light.
She ran him over.
She drove away and left him in the street to die as if she ran over a fucking squirrel.

30 days in jail isn’t a punishment, it’s an invitation. Encouragement for anyone else who feels like carelessly taking someone else’s life.
