🇻🇪 Satellite images show La Guaira in ruins.

Two earthquakes hit Venezuela yesterday night, a 7.2 followed less than a minute later by a 7.5, the country's strongest in over a century.

The coastal state of La Guaira took the worst of it, with satellite views showing whole blocks pancaked into rubble.

At least 188 people are dead, more than 1,500 hurt, 40-50,000 missing, and over 200 still trapped under some 250 collapsed buildings.

Rescue teams from the U.S., the UN and Colombia are flying in as crews dig around the clock.

Officials are bracing for a toll in the thousands once the rubble is cleared.
