How to become expert at thing:
1 iteratively take on concrete projects and accomplish them depth wise, learning “on demand” (ie don’t learn bottom up breadth wise)
2 teach/summarize everything you learn in your own words
3 only compare yourself to younger you, never to others
@iron_redux The main applications of nanotechnology are the characterization tools at that scale. For example scanning tunneling microscopy, you can literally scan and move atoms. In biotech, Lipid NanoParticles are now widespread.
@RuxandraTeslo@mkwitzke The tide rises for all. If China churns more therapies and the US accelerates , there will be more money in the system. Think abundance, not scarcity. Investors chase good businesses. Pharma is ok vs tech $ for $, but we can make it better.
We spend a lot of time forcing kids to eat “to grow” then spend a lot of effort and time forcing ourselves to not eat “to be healthy”. At least now we have GLP1s
Reminds me of churning up the heat because the AC is too low
GLP-1 agonists increasingly look like miracle drugs. Every day, we seem to uncover another potential benefit.
Now, a new study suggests they may even slow biological aging.
First hand experience is the best type of experience.
I was in SF and recently in NYC. Such a great vibe, things happening, loads of energy.
Far cry from the badmouthing I hear in Miami.
