If I had all of the 21 million Bitcoin (assume all were mined), and the market is willing to buy each at $100 per bitcoin, then that will be the initial price. Then if after that, the market buys it at $50 a bitcoin, then that will be the price. From there it depends on if the market is willing to pay more or less for each bitcoin. Keep in mind, that when I write market, it includes that last transaction at a sale where a buyer and seller agree. Which is consistent, eventually setting the future price of what each buyer is willing to buy bitcoin for and what sellers are willing to accept.

Current year: 2026
Year you want: 2018

2026 − 2018 = 8
39 − 8 = 31

So in 2018 you were 31 (or 30 if it was before your birthday).
