Trying to avoid political discourse these days. Some things are important though. It's pretty embarrassing that "we" canceled $7.6B in grants for renewable clean energy programs that would have created thousands of jobs so that we could double down on a rapidly depleting and antiquated reliance on fossil fuels that come from other countries which has exacerbated the impact felt by Americans during events like the war with Iran.
Fossil fuels are the technology of the past, they are finite, and they wreak havoc on our world. The first charge God ever gave us was to take care of the created order, and we're failing miserably. We're eliminating protected lands so we can drill more. We're ignoring climate changes and doubling down on endeavors that put the stability of our ecosystems in jeopardy.
We can't afford to let the wealthy minority continue to dictate what happens to our world we share with billions of people and will leave in the care of our kids.
The people choosing this for us solidify their personal wealth as they cut deals with oil tycoons and happily accept their checks.
Meanwhile we're getting left behind on the global stage.
all love to emily wilson who has a way different relationship with the odyssey than the rest of us but that critique is on some level her being unable to reconcile w the fact that this is “nolan’s odyssey”, not “nolan making homer’s odyssey into a motion picture”
🚨 BREAKING:
Jennifer Lawrence:
"What is happening in Gaza is a clear-cut genocide, I will never accept this. I am afraid for the future of my own children and the children of all of us, it is disgraceful."
Two acts of lesbophobia happened just recently. One in the form of sexual assault and now the loss of two beautiful souls.
Rest in Peace Fabiana and Leda. Please stay safe everyone in our globally turbulent times.
