"It feels almost like we're slipping back into a dark age. There are things that are lies; there are things that evidence tells us are likely to be true and if we don't believe that anymore, we're lost."

Imagine thinking for a second veterans would believe your bullshit, Andrew. Very much looking forward to the prayer given every year at the ceremony in downtown Montreal, one of the largest in Canada.
The climate crisis is the most tragic mass extinction event to ever face Planet Earth, even though it isn't the worst.
Why?
Well, because it was voted for. We chose it. The dinosaurs didn't vote for the meteor.
We know what is happening. We know how to fix it.
We don't care.
Simply a disastrous outcome for the world. Feeling much empathy for the millions of Americans who fought hard to prevent it, and will now have to endure four years of brutal Trump/Musk/RFK grotesque policy with no checks and balances in place.
Many Canadian conservatives appear to have forgotten they don’t live in the United States. Canada will be hit by U.S. tariffs. Canada will be more vulnerable if NATO collapses. Canada will likely be inundated with people leaving the U.S. if mass deportations do indeed take place. Canada will face the possible ripping up of our trade deals. Cheering online won’t feel the same once our country starts facing the reality of what is to come.
It is more important to look at why Trump was allowed to run, after committing sedition and a number of other crimes to which he confessed, than why he was able to win.
Want to see what panic in Albera looks like? Another oil boom wasted with nothing to show for it. No amount of whining about how everything is everyone else's fault changes how bad conservatives are with money.

@CalgaryChamber Oil and gas companies will never reduce emissions until they are forced to. Furthermore, where was your "concern" when renewables were banned?
