@hilton_ctwh@MaitreyaBhakal Indians are uniquely good at climbing the corporate ladder. they have caste mentality and little regard for niceties like saving face. Chinese Americans hit a bamboo ceiling at a certain point unless they start their own company. ex: Jensen, Morris
@trashbaby40k@StevenGlinert it is true but he omitted the reason. growing up every Chinese kid learns the biggest event in recent history was the century of humiliation. where foreign powers carved up China. Taiwan is not just resolving a civil war, but reclaiming what was originally stolen by Japan
@ArmyBarber Having a strong feeling against Asians being shoved onto subway tracks by mentally ill homeless is what's considered white supremacist by woke liberals but happy to be corrected
@levelsio@Jason@uniqlo what's even worse is when you realize they only wash with cold water and hang dry their clothes, so over time the Airism inner polyester starts to accumulate oils and smell
@alreadydawn I haven't achieved fluency by any means but my mandarin pronunciation is better than 90% of taiwanese courtesy of my waishengren background (grandma is a Beijinger), locals either complement me on how my Chinese is better than theirs or suspect I'm a CCP spy, no in between
@alreadydawn the sun in Taiwan is more powerful than the sun in America, and lots of young ppl smoke cigarettes too, all contribute to premature skin aging

@alreadydawn I'm just like couldn't you have picked up food on your way home, also even tho food delivery is cheap compared to the US it's still inflated by 30-40% compared to the in store menu price. and also there's no tip for dine in. anyways ppl too lazy/spoiled here.
@alreadydawn I used to have roommates that ordered Uber eats coming home from work and they would time it such that the food got delivered right as they got home. btw we lived 2min walking dist from mrt station and lived in the central part of taipei
