CFB 27 CPU recruiting is very far off from real life recruiting. In game Vandy loads up on 20+ 2 and 1 stars.
In real life they signed only 1 unranked player. The 21 other commits are 3 star and higher including a 5 Star and #2 QB in the entire class Jared Curtis.
@byucougarcorner@slmandel@GaryLutwen i disagree, USC and iowa played oregon close while utah got smacked by TTU. in a playoff context i’d think showing u can actually compete with the best of the best is more important than slipping up against a bad team, hope this helps. no sec or espn here
@byucougarcorner@slmandel@GaryLutwen oregon was highly competitive with IU and beat USC, Iowa
A&M beat ND and played Texas close
Bama beat Georgia on the road
Miami beat ND
BYU had 2 chances to get anything significant on their resume and failed
@TOL_Michigan@Its_Coach_Steve they lost to 2 playoff teams and a bad one. while beating georgia on the road along with the other mid wins. taking that 10-3 top 10 SOS over the 12-1 on almost the easiest schedule in the country
@ByuSome@bdfish24@BYUFlorida i’d like to think in a playoff context, showing u can beat the tops teams is much more significant than losing to a bad one
@TOL_Michigan@Its_Coach_Steve vandy and mizzou imo are about the same tier as louisville, maybe better. so bama beat at least 3 teams equal to the team that jmu lost to. 12-1 doesn’t mean shit if u don’t beat not 1 team of significance. they should’ve enjoyed a solid bowl game
@flatland_sports@Lauren_Chris@GeauxDuck too many meaning there weren’t 12 teams that had a good enough regular season to deserve a spot in the playoff. one could easily argue miami didn’t after losing to 2 inferior teams
@byucougarcorner@slmandel@GaryLutwen point still stands buddy. the games do mean a lot, games against top teams mean significantly more. byu hasn’t 1. won their conference or 2. beat any of the true top teams!
@TOL_Michigan@Its_Coach_Steve that’d probably be a good response if my argument was that they didn’t belong because of their playoff results, which it wasn’t!
jmu had one of the easiest schedules in the country, had 1 game against a “solid” p4 team and lost. bama beat georgia, vandy, tennesee, mizzou
@byucougarcorner@slmandel@GaryLutwen it does matter! in the regular season and CCG, byu had 2 chances to show that they can compete with a top team in the country, and we see how those games went
