Dear @MrRathna,

29 was a mixed bag of interesting ideas but executed in a very random and disjointed way. I didn’t enjoy the movie overall, though the dialogues sooo good.

The editing felt confusing, with abrupt shifts and scenes that didn’t flow well.

The casting didn’t work for me, and I struggled to feel any emotional connection to the characters. There were also issues with lip sync, weak logic, and underdeveloped character arcs, which made it hard to stay engaged.

I even had to finish it over a few days at 1.25x speed.

Similarly, actors like Ashok, Kathir, Atharvaa may look good, but don’t pull the same investment. Mamitha over Nivedhitha is business.

YOU HAVE TO BE LITERALLY ILLITERATE TO TAKE "LITERACY" SERIOUSLY.

The 2024 census counted a Sri Lankan as "literate" if they self-reported (there is no formal test) as being able to read and write in some language: Sinhala, Tamil, or English.

In the 21st century, this is a completely nonsense metric. It means nothing of consequence.

Instead, we should be more interested in financial literacy, health/nutrition literacy, & computer literacy.

All of which are depressingly low in #SriLanka, with direct consequences like susceptibility to scams, bad health outcomes, and unemployability.
