जरा पढ़िये पांचवें गुरु श्री गुरु अर्जुन देव जी की एक रचना जो श्री गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब पन्ना 1082 पर दर्ज है :-

भगति वछलु अनाथह नाथे ॥ गोपी नाथु सगल है साथे ॥ बासुदेव निरंजन दाते बरनि न साकउ गुण अंगा ॥५॥ मुकंद मनोहर लखमी नाराइण ॥ द्रोपती लजा निवारि उधारण ॥ कमलाकंत करहि कंतूहल अनद बिनोदी निहसंगा ॥६॥ अमोघ दरसन आजूनी स्मभउ ॥ अकाल मूरति जिसु कदे नाही खउ ॥ अबिनासी अबिगत अगोचर सभु किछु तुझ ही है लगा ॥७॥ स्रीरंग बैकुंठ के वासी ॥ मछु कछु कूरमु आगिआ अउतरासी ॥ केसव चलत करहि निराले कीता लोड़हि सो होइगा ॥८॥

व्याख्या - हे अनाथों के नाथ! तू भक्ति को प्यार करने वाला है! तू ही गोपियों का नाथ है। तू सब जीवों के साथ रहने वाला है। हे वासुदेव! हे निर्लेप दातार! मैं तेरे अनेकों गुण बयान नहीं कर सकता।5।

हे मुक्ति के दाते! हे सुंदर प्रभू! हे लक्ष्मी के पति नारायण! हे द्रोपदी को बेइज्जती से बचा के उसकी लाज रखने वाले! हे लक्ष्मी के पति! तू अनेकों करिश्मे करता है। तू सारे आनंद लेने वाला है, और निर्लेप भी है।6।

हे फल देने से कभी ना उकताने वाले दर्शनों वाले प्रभु! हे जूनि-रहित प्रभु! हे अपने आप से प्रकाश करने वाले प्रभु! हे मौत-रहित स्वरूप वाले! हे (ऐसे) प्रभु जिसका कभी नाश नहीं हो सकता! हे अविनाशी! हे अदृष्ट! हे अगोचर! (जगत की) हरेक चीज़ तेरे ही आसरे है।7।

हे लक्ष्मी के पति! हे बैकुंठ के रहने वाले! मगरमच्छ और कछुए (आदि) का तेरी ही आज्ञा में अवतार हुआ। हे सुंदर लंबे केशों वाले! तू (सदा) अनोखे करिश्मे करता है। जो कुछ तू करना चाहता है वही अवश्य होता है।8।

The Words ‘ALLAH ’ and ‘RASOOL’ in GURBANI Refer to the Formless Divine,

NOT TO ISLAM OR THE QURAN

The Guru Granth Sahib is composed in Sant Bhasha, a composite language that draws from Punjabi, various Hindi dialects such as Braj and Awadhi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Lahnda, Persian, and Arabic. This multilingual foundation reflects the inclusive and universal spirit of Sikh philosophy.

The term ‘Allah’ predates Islam by several centuries. It derives from the Arabic ‘Al-Ilah’, meaning ‘the deity’ or ‘God’. Written Arabic literary traditions exist from at least the fourth century CE, whereas Islam emerged in the seventh century.

Similarly, ‘Rasool’ carries the basic meaning of ‘messenger’ or ‘one who is sent’ and was already in use in pre-Islamic Arabic and related linguistic contexts.

In the Guru Granth Sahib, the word ‘Allah’ appears a total of thirty times. Twelve of these occur in the bani of Sheikh Farid, while the remaining eighteen appear in the compositions of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, and Bhagat Kabir Ji. Guru Arjan Dev Ji states clearly that Allah and Parbrahm are one and the same.

In these verses, ‘Allah’ functions as one among many names, alongside Ram, Khuda, and Karim, all referring to the identical formless, infinite, transcendent, and all-powerful Supreme Reality.

The term ‘Rasool’ appears in Gurubani in the general sense of a divine messenger or envoy. It carries no specific Quranic or Islamic prophetic reference. The Guru Granth Sahib does not quote any verses from the Quran as authoritative scripture, nor does it accept Muhammad as the final prophet in the theological sense claimed by Islam.

Those who selectively lift these words from their context to claim that Gurubani draws from or endorses the Quran overlook the complete theological framework.

The central teaching of Gurubani remains the oneness of the formless Waheguru. Names may differ according to language and tradition, but the essential truth is singular.

This linguistic inclusivity demonstrates the openness and universality of Sikh thought rather than any affiliation with another religious system.

In the broader historical setting of medieval India, devotional and mystical traditions frequently shared such vocabulary across communities. The Sikh Gurus employed these terms deliberately to convey the principle of Ik Onkar, the one supreme reality that transcends all sectarian boundaries and linguistic labels.

Why Sikhs Cannot Be Compared to Muslims:

Muslims are not the problem, the ideology is. Islam is an expansionist creed: dawah absorbs, consumes, and systematically erases native civilizations.

Sikhism commands no conversion.

Unlike Christianity’s missionary machinery that has poached Sikhs, the Guru never launched a dawah; souls come by inner awakening, never by pursuit.

History draws a blood-soaked line:

Partition trains rolled in as Hindu and Sikh corpse-filled caravans, and Afghanistan’s Sikhs were reduced from hundreds of thousands to barely seven hundred.

The Sikh sword was forged precisely against that expansionist violence.

Gurbani invokes Ram, Hari, Gobind, Sikhism is an eternal and sacred stream of the Sanatan river.

Islam’s theological mission is to dry that river up..

To place the two on the same scale is not just error, it is a profound betrayal of Sanatan truth.
