The 167th Income Tax Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Kanpur Station on 24th July 2026. As part of the celebrations, Aaykar Bhawan, Kanpur was illuminated vibrantly. Banners & standees highlighting the significance of Income tax were displayed at the Venue. In the evening Hon'ble Chairman's Message and a short movie showcasing the achievements of the Income Tax Department were also screened. Hon'ble Chairman's message reaffirmed the Department's commitment to transparency, dedication to excellence, integrity, taxpayer services and widening & deepening of tax base with ultimate aim of nation-building.

The Blood Donation Camp organized by ITEF Pune Circle on 10 July 2026, as part of the ITEF Platinum Jubilee Celebrations and Income Tax Day 2026, was inaugurated by Shri Vivek Wadekar, Pr. This accomplishment stands as a testament to the Department's collective commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility. In collaboration with Kanpur Chartered Accountants Society a half day training on the New Income Tax Act‑2025 was inaugurated by CIT Audit Ms. Garima Chaudhary on 29.04.2026 at MSTU training center, Kanpur.
Session on “Overview & Transitory Provisions of Income Tax Act, 2025” was mastered by CA Shri Govind Maheshwari, sensitizing participants on key changes in Direct Tax laws.
Officers/officials of the department along with the members of Chartered Accountant society took part in the concluded session.
PRARAMBH 2026: Mega Outreach Programme
During the session all the stakeholders were made aware and sensitized about the new simplified direct taxes laws. The programme saw active and interactive participation from all the attendees, reaffirming the Department’s commitment to taxpayer awareness, voluntary compliance, reducing litigations and smooth transition.
Usage of AI chat bot: Kar Saathi, was on display through the Aayakar Kiosk at the Mega Event and the participants were made aware of the new Forms through Brochures & Kar Setu Booklet was also publicized to all the participants.
