Sharing one of the earliest available speeches of Prof. Yogesh Singh, delivered during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.

*On 23 March 2013, Prof. Yogesh Singh* addressed the audience at the “Women and Leadership” Symposium, jointly organised by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda,* the Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI), and the Women’s Studies and Research Centre (WSRC), MSU, at the FGI Business Centre, Vadodara.*

Looking back at such an early address is particularly interesting because it allows us to see the beginnings of a distinguished academic leadership journey that has continued across major institutions of higher education. Even at this stage, his engagement with questions of leadership, education, social responsibility and institutional development was clearly visible.

For those who have followed Prof. Yogesh Singh’s academic and administrative journey over the years, this 2013 address has a special archival value. It takes us back to an important phase of his association with The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and offers a glimpse of his ideas and public voice from more than thirteen years ago.
