As students streamed out of the examination centres today after the CBSE Class 10 English paper, their smiles told the story.
The mood was strikingly different from the previous Mathematics Standard exam, which many had found lengthy and demanding.
Where Mathematics tested endurance and precision, English offered space for comprehension and creativity, leaving students visibly relieved and upbeat.

Every time CBSE results shake the nation, the same people come out -
Not to help. Not to support.
But to perform their own intelligence on the graves of student anxiety.
"The paper was easy."
"My generation would have aced it."
"Online education is ruining students."
Let me show you what we actually receive in our DMs:
"Sir I went completely blank. I studied for months. I don't know what happened."
"I feel like I've disappointed my entire family."
"I don't want to go home and face them."
These are not lazy students.
These are children -carrying the weight of a family's entire hope -in a 3-hour paper.
And online educators who stayed up till 4AM making last-minute revision videos?
They weren't chasing views.
They were trying to make ONE scared student feel less alone.
Because here's the truth nobody wants to say:
Not every student in this country has access to the best schools.
Not every family can afford coaching.
Not every child has a parent who can help them with their homework.
Online education doesn't create weak students.
It reaches the ones the system already left behind.
So criticize the education system if you want.
Criticize the paper design if you must.
But do NOT blame the student who gave everything they had.
And do NOT mock the educator who refused to abandon them at the finish line.
This nation will be built by those students.
The least we can do is stand with them.
Share this if you believe in them. 🙏🇮🇳
@akhileshsharma1@cbseindia29 few sets from class X maths were actually tough. The question level was clearly higher than what it was during our time
Pls don't question random screenshots from "basic maths" paper and assume kids didn't study hard enough.
Saw many crying after the exam. This isn't normal.
@akhileshsharma1@cbseindia29 The CBSE Class 10 Maths paper was extremely difficult and lengthy. Many students couldn’t finish it. CBSE should review it and give grace marks. We request Hon’ble PM Modi ji to look into this and ensure fair justice for students.
@NLmantra@akhileshsharma1@cbseindia29 Yes ,true knowing this kids got more upset thinking why me? They are still not over it and that’s making it hard to prepare them other subjects as well #cbse
@kaatliquor@akhileshsharma1@cbseindia29 True , Delhi NCR standard maths set 2 and 3 was too lengthy n tough and if CBSE aim was to prepare kids for conceptual based tricky questions than why this bias behaviour towards some regions like Delhi . Leave NCERT book ,sample paper issued by CBSE was also not relevant #cbse
@sinha1863128@p1j@cbseindia29@EduMinOfIndia@AnujGaur396130 why add more burden now? You talk about mental health and appointing counsellors, yet decisions like these push children to breaking point. Even capable parents are struggling to process this. Students are studying all night — what about their well-being? Shame.#shameoncbse
@p1j@akhileshsharma1@cbseindia29@EduMinOfIndia@AnujGaur396130 Absolutely correct...
So many hard working kids are crying ...set 2 standard paper was very lengthy n tuff .....some kids are saying specially boys are saying hum second paper nhi dene Wale ...humko ismei ho bonus marks milne chahiye ...so @cbseindia29 what is your planning for .
Why is this unfair to students? @cbseindia29@EduMinOfIndia - by @AnujGaur396130
The Class 10 Mathematics (Standard) examination including sets such as 30/5/1, 30/5/2, 30/5/3, 30/3/3, 30/3/1 and others, conducted yesterday was overall lengthy and of moderate to difficult level It was very challenging to complete the paper within the allotted 3 hours. A significant number of questions were not directly based on the NCERT textbook exercises, which made it challenging, particularly for academically weaker students, to secure passing marks.
In the Geometry section, no direct theorem-based questions were asked. Typically, theorem questions provide students with an opportunity to score well; however, their absence required greater conceptual application and higher-order problem-solving skills.
The case study question based on Polynomials was comparatively more difficult and appeared to be beyond the expected Class 10 level. For instance, a question related to symmetry (e.g., determining whether a graph is symmetric about the y-axis) required strong conceptual clarity and deeper analytical understanding. This made the question time-consuming for many students.
Additionally, as per the sample paper issued by CBSE, Section D generally includes only one question from Geometry. However, in today’s examination, two Geometry-based questions were included in Section D. This increased both the overall difficulty level and the time required to complete the paper.

[Sharing as seen many students in distress and were crying hard]
Dear @cbseindia29,
Today’s Class X Mathematics (Standard) question paper was extremely tough. I saw many students coming out of the examination centres in tears. Was this level of difficulty intentional so that more students would need to appear for the second board examination?
