The Q1 results were a win for quality over quantity. The big positive surprise was the 24.5% operating margin—beating consensus despite wage cycles—and a recovery in BFSI driven by mission-critical transformations.
On the flip side, the 1.6% sequential revenue decline was steeper than expected, and a $70M legal provision for the DXC lawsuit weighed on the absolute profit. It seems the "order book" is full with a $12B TCV, but the "execution engine" is still navigating project delays and an India revenue unwind.
Do you think the 25% margin floor is sustainable if revenue growth stays flat?
