The Ombudsman should first update its website to provide complete and accurate information. Nowhere does it mention that Annexure VI-A is mandatory for filing a complaint. After allowing a complaint to remain pending for several months, the Ombudsman then asks the complainant to submit Annexure VI-A and effectively restart the process. This results in further unnecessary delays in an already slow system, where even acknowledgment of a complaint can take 6–12 months.
