Interesting idea! Also, outside of fairness, it could also bring in a bit of monetization opportunity as bidding should fresh more viewership while tosses are generally banal and viewers tune in more towards the beginning of innings.

🏏 Should cricket rethink the toss?

Dew, pitch wear, & conditions often give toss-winners an edge.

What if captains bid runs to choose innings?
Introducing B.I.D — a fairer, strategic twist to the toss.

Having played for India since 2008 It’s disheartening to see a lack of recognition from the Delhi government for achievements in chess. States that support and celebrate their champions, directly inspire excellence and motivate talent. Sadly, Delhi has yet to take this step

In 2022 Chess Olympiad I came back with a historic team bronze and an individual medal. Two years later 2024, the historic Chess Olympic gold, and till date there has been no acknowledgment or recognition by the state govt. As someone who proudly represents Delhi and India, I hope @AamAadmiParty @AtishiAAP ma’am @ArvindKejriwal sir see value in supporting their chess athletes.

ChatGPT system prompt is 1700 tokens?!?!?
If you were wondering why ChatGPT is so bad versus 6 months ago, its because of the system prompt.
Look at how garbage this is.
Laziness is literally part of the prompt.

"Act of God" is covered under most insurance policies.

Yes. Unlike what is shown in the movies (OMG etc.) - a long list of acts of god are covered under Insurance.

Is anyone else also receiving missed audio/video calls from unknown numbers on WhatsApp that rings for only a few seconds? Seems suspicious.

[Vikas Saurabh @vikassaurabh]

@mukul_gupta21 Yes for audio ones... Didn't get video one though.
I had been blaming my stupidity of having some fun by responding to "earn money sitting at home" message.
I've been religiously blocking them, hoping WA might see a crowd sourced pattern.

I've asked GPTchat to bargain hard with @Adobe customer service for me and ask for a discount. It got me a cheaper monthly price plus 90 days for free. I'll now pay 237£ instead of 543£ for the next year. Turing Test succesful.

Abstract:
We present an extremely simple sorting algorithm. It may look like it is obviously wrong, but we prove that it is in fact correct.
