First of all, a return toll on Atal Setu is ₹ 300- 375, not ₹ 500

Then Atal Setu is NOT just used by people to go to Pune but to Navi Mumbai, to the inlt airport, to Konkan & so on

So why would an Atal Setu employee tell her that Mumbai-Pune expressway is closed ?

For last few days, govt is continuously issuing advisories - heavy rain, landslides possible, don’t travel unless absolutely necessary

She’s a journalist & didn’t know that landslide took place at about 2 am in early hours of Monday itself & was put on MSRTC handle early in the morning?

Or she didn’t check google maps or any apps ?

Neither did she check any news portals or traffic updates?

This was such a massive landslide-
with 100 tonnes of malba

One huge boulder was ~ 20 tonnes alone

Thankfully, no one lost their life

NO structural damage to tunnel or bridge

Only a portal frame, a non-structural architectural element at the tunnel entrance fell down

When such a major natural disaster take place, this lady, a so called top jounalist is complaining about toll to be paid at another toll booth

That’s her priority?
